Yes. It is a condition of hyperglycemia; a drop in your blood sugar. It could be a medical problem and it could be serious. You need to see a doctor, do not fool around. Get to a doctor!!!!!

No, not so much when I'm hungry. It's more when I haven't eaten the right foods to start the day, like just toast for breakfast. I think it's always better to have some protein rather than all carbohydrates, because your blood sugar goes up and then comes down pretty fast and that's one of the reasons I start to shake.

It's called hypoglycemia aka low blood suger. I have had that condition for almost 30 years. I would get yourself to a doctor a.s.a.p. to get checked for diabetes. Diabetes is hyperglycemia aka high blood sugar. Your physician can tell you if you have diabetes but very few doctors acknowledge that there is such a thing as hypoglycemia. If your medical doctor says you do not have diabetes, get yourself to a naturopathic physician who will tell you if you do, in fact, have hypoglycemia and will know how to treat you for it.
Basically, you need a diet that keeps your blood sugar in the right range. This is what is recommended, and what I eat:
Breakfast - 1/2 grapefruit or an orange, cooked oatmeal with 2 heaping teaspoons of flaxseed meal, 2 teaspoons of chopped walnuts, and about 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar mixed into the oatmeal once it is cooked. Put either skim milk, soy milk or rice milk on the cooked oatmeal. I drink orange just with my handful of supplements. To cook oatmeal by the bowl in the microwave put 1/3 c. old-fashioned oatmeal and 2/3 c. water into the bowl. Cook on 60% power for 2 minutes. That's how easy it is! Another good option for breakfast would be a couple of eggs and whole wheat toast along with the orange or half grapefruit.
Mid-morning snack - a banana, homemade applesauce or other fruit, cup of yoghurt, chunk of cheese, protein powder stirred into your choice of milk, or handfull of nuts like almonds, peanuts or anything else, just not salted.
Lunch - salad with some kind of protein in it like chicken, ham, hard-cooked egg, etc., or sandwich with a protein filling like tuna, egg salad, lunch meats, cheese, orpeanut butter.
Mid-afternoon snack - same choices as mid-morning snack but choose something that you did not have before that day.
Dinner - just your normal dinner food but try to stay away from deep fried, fast food.
Bedtime snack, if you are hungry or shaky then - just about any of the the above snack choices. I don't often need a bedtime snack but will have a bowl of Total cereal with milk if I need it.
The important thing is that you do not eat anything sugary during the day. If you really do get shakey, drink orange juice as a simple, emergency solution; however, hypoglycemia, not taken care of with diet CAN lead to diabetes. Trust me; diabetes is much worse than hypoglycemia.
I can't stress enough the need to get to a naturopathic physician a.s.a.p.

It's caused by a low sugar level. If you eathing normaly and still experienceing the shakes you may need a fasting glucose level done to rule out diabetes.

I used to but now I am a nibbler. I eat small amounts frequently so that doesn't happen. Also, I never eat carbohydrates without at least a bit of protein. The protein keeps the blood sugar levels stabilized.

I have many times when I got too busy or was in a hurry and didn't eat.I usually go all day until about 4 before eating anyway(I know it is not good but I am not hungary until then!).It isn't good for you to do that. Eat a piece of fruit to get yourself going again! Best wishes!

um... no. But I do know that if you don't eat for a long time you may start to get cold. Are you shaking because you're cold? Well, if so, then that's the case. Alright, hope I helped you! Buh bye! =)

Yes I do...I shake and feel sick...also sometimes get a headache. I was told it is because my blood sugar gets low, however I am not diabetic.

I've hit the point where I felt shaky. I'm not sure if I did actually shake.
