A)Loving all people, regardless of their belief in God or lack thereof,

OR

B)Knowing and loving God above all else.

I know people with both beliefs will answer, but please prove why the lifestyle you choose is best for you and/or for others.

Jesus said the most important commandment was to love God and have no other gods above him.He then linked loving others with it and said these two above all else is God's law. I do not think you can do one and not the other and still be one with God.

That is not an OR question. In fact, one produces the other.

The most important thing is loving God above all else, and when you do, you love all people, regardless of their belief or unbelief.

The lifestyle I chose is best for me and others because it celebrates the love that the Creator has for us, and shares that love with all others.

What could be better than that?

A) Loving all people, regardless of their belief in God or lack thereof is most important.

Atheists and agnostics do that all ready.

A) Loving all people

I can't prove anything, but I would rather treat people right here, and work toward common goals I can *see* rather than bet it all on an allmighty whose track record isn't so hot.

I don't think it is possible to "know" god, and why does god care whether you love him/her above all else or not? What's it to god?

I don't claim this lifestyle to be right for anyone else, but I couldn't live any other way.

I think the 2 go together. If you know and love God, then you will love all people, because you'll see God in everyone of His children. But if you absolutely MUST chose between the 2, A is more important, because in loving all people, you are pleasing God, even if you do not believe in him.

Jesus in the Great Commandment and God through the Ten Commandments are clear. First, Love God second Love all of God's creation including yourself.

Since God love all that God created the act of loving all that GOd created is an act of pure worship and love of God.

Knowing and loving GOD above all else. I don't love those who hate me nor do I show love to those I don't apreciate. But I am not a christian so that theology does not pertain to me. I treat you how you treat me. Play mental games with me and I will treat you like the scum of the planet. Gum on the bottom of my shoes. Refried beans lol. But why show respect and forgiveness to one who admires to damage you. It just isn't logical. But I am one of the most peacefull people on this planet. Everybody always wonder why people would even want to dislike me. Why would I like a christian who believes I am going to hell for not accepting jesus as my personal lord and savior. I am already righteous and don't need some man coming along telling me he is god. If he said he was a messenger, then we can talk. Otherwise, keep it moving. I show love and respect to all on a human level. But of the celestrial world, stay to your own and I will try and stay to mine. PEACE!

in judaism, anyway, the focus is to make the world a good place. we don't believe that everybody in the world is supposed to be a jew which is why we do not seek out converts.

the great rabbi akiva was once approached by a man who said he would convert to judaism if the rabbi could recite the whole torah while standing on one foot. rabbi akiva stood on his foot and said: "what is hateful to you, do not do unto your neighbour. this is the whole of the torah. the rest is just commentary. now go out and learn."

One thing God wanted more than anything else was for his children not to fight. Read Genesis 6:6 God regretted he made man in the first place. And he felt hurt in his heart.
Why? Gen 6:13 Because the earth was full of violence because of them.
