Don't think you'll find a free edition on the Internet - unless its been pirated. This is commercial software and there are no free versions. What about using a freware alternative like The Gimp or Dogwaffle?
Another possibility is the relatively new Gimpshop - this is a version of Gimp with a close a Photoshop 'feel' as design laws will allow. It's not perfect but its free and legal.

I don't think there is a free edition of Adobe PhotoShop, but if you are a student in a photography class, you may purchase the Student Edition, for less.

Go to adobe.com, where you can download a free 30 day trial version of Photoshop CS2 and many other Adobe products. You can only do this one time so take advantage of it.

You could ask Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. They've been known to give stuff away for free.
