The best way to learn Spanish with your young children would be to enroll in an "immersion" course. This is a course where no English is spoken, only Spanish. Your children will catch on faster than you will, but it's a great way to learn a language.

Young children have language learning abilities that adults do not. If they are exposed to Spanish speaking individuals such as in a bilingual preschool or play group, they will learn Spanish as easily as they learn any other language.

For you, though, it will be more difficult. However, you have the benefit of higher thinking skills that your young children do not yet possess.

As far as your kids, then, if you want them to learn Spanish they can do so if you simply put them into a Spanish-speaking environment consistently over a period of time. For yourself, you may have to learn either from observing your children, or with more traditional methods like studying it. Of course, with children who are essentially native speakers of Spanish around, they can help you!

It may not be easy to others to speak and learn spanish, unless they are schooling. some schools have spanish subjects (high school). but as you asked how young children learn to spanish. First..parents should be able to learn basic spanish, in that way its easier to teach young chldren the basic spanish language. Buy a dictionary, spanish-english dictionary, it would be easier for you. then gradually both parent and child will learn spanish words/language. theres also a voice tape for this, you can learn the proper way of pronownciation
its really interesting, both parent and child will have fun learning. I may say spanish language is not a tongue twister, its easy. in addition to this, listen to some spanish music, spanish music is the best way to achive the right pronownciation. im doin it myself, because i love spanish/latin music, withthe dictionary beside you (spanish-english). give special time learning, not only spanish, but other languages...first learn the basic, as it goes along you will be surprise, without knowing both (parent and child) already masters the languages you want. Good luck
