Nope. That's what "steak tartare" is.

The danger is if viruses and bacteria that are feeding on the meat end up feeding on you!

A good way to tell if meat is done is if the juices run clear (not bloody) or better yet would be to cut the meat in half at the thickest part, and see if it's done all the way through (by color).

A thermometer would be the ultimate in safety. You can buy one that you insert into the middle of the meat, and it reads out the temperature. Cook meats to an internal temperature of 160 degrees.

Raw beef is dangerous mostly with hamburgers, but meat loaf as well. Anything with ground beef has had a lot more surface area exposure to germs and such, because it gets squished up and ground up and stuff.

Meats like steak, which aren't ground up, are safer when cooked rare because outsude germs never get a chance to go anywhere but the outer edges of the meat, where they are killed by cooking.

I'm gonna say no. Meat, especially ground beef, must be cooked all the way for it to be safe to eat. I say especially ground beef because ground beef is made from the meat of multiple cows and all that meat is touching other pieces of meat which makes the likely hood of getting sick from it higher.

If the meat wasn't cooked thoroughly, no it won't kill you but it might make you sick!

If you have a meal like that, stick it back in the oven and cook it for another 10 minutes. If it is still red/pink and bloddy after that I would check your oven and make an new dish...throw that one out!

It's like playing Russian Roulette with hand gun. One of these days something you should have killed by proper cooking is going to get you. Type and amount of toxin along with your physical condition will determine if it kills you, or makes you so sick you wished you died. Remember high percentage of food on the market comes from same company that gave you Marabou {not sure of spelling) Man.

i know it may taste good but restaurants in the south are forbidden to under cook hamburger meat , so there is a very good reason for this , it's called ecoli, anyway, i would not advise eating it due to not wanting to mess up your digestive system , it's not worth it !!

No it wont kill you. Ever go to a restaurant and order a hamburger and they ask you how you want them cooked? A lot of people eat them medium rare or whatever. You will be fine

raw beef will not poison you, however you can get a food borne illness from any microbes still alive. if you have a doubt then just put it back into the oven and cook it a little more.

It won't kill you but can make you very sick. It depends on the person's immune system. You can get salmonella, and ecoli which causes food poisoning. You can get diarrhea and vomitting from it.
