I have gorgeous, thick, naturally blonde hair...very very blonde. Until recently, I had never dyed it. I decided to go dark brown with blondish highlights (because I got extremely bored with my natual color) and it looks really good, but I miss my natural hair color already! She used a semi-permanant color. How long will it take for my hair to return to its natural color? Is there anything I can do to speed up this process? Any advice is recommended...

There is a way to get the color stripped out but it really damages the hair and it is expensive.

When you dye blonde hair, it stains the hair. So semi-permanent does not exist when you dye blonde hair dark. You are going to either have to dye it back to blonde or wait for it to grow out again. It will fade a little since it is semi permanent, but it will not ever go back or even close to back. Sorry.

SInce you colored your hair, it won't be natually blonde anymore, until it grow out. Semi perm hair color will fade in time, other than that, you will have to strip out the artificial color. Never the less you will not get back your natural color.

the semi color will wash out but it may take longer than the normal 12-24 shampoos if u lighten ur hair urself u run the risk of breaking ur hair and/or overlightenin the highlighted area which will break. so i recommend u go to a professional colorist and they can prevent messing up ur hair

If its only semi-permanent, it should start washing out after a certain number of washes. The only way to go back to blonde would be to bleach it and dye it over with the closest match to your natural blonde.

If you want to get that done, DON'T do it yourself and risk messing up, go to a trained stylist who knows what he/she is doing. It will come out much better that way with salon quality color as opposed to box color.

You can rinse it with lemon juice, and keep it really conditioned with olive oil, and it will become a really beautiful golden blonde. I would enjoy it, cause the natural color will return. Oh yes, and take amino acids so that you will retain the natural producing pigments (In other words, you don't want it to turn grey because of shock!!!j)

Ok...semi permanant is supposed to wash out but can stain the hair for quite awhile. You should consult a hairdresser to choose a method of dealing with the transtion until your hair grows out.

I hear a product called ColorFix will work you can find it online. Otherwise check Sally's or a Trade Secret. Some people use Prell and Dawn Dish soap which has high detergent levels and will help wash it out faster.

strip the brunette color out, then go fiind a color that is your own and dye it, then let it grow out.

ive done that a few times after i tried dying my hair crazy colors. it really works.

See a professional styalist for help. If you try to do it, you could end up with an undesired color or fried locks.
