Why not marry her all over agin? This time with your children and grand children in attendance! Then you could have a second honeymoon! I think she would love it!

61st anniversary.......amazing, what a wonderful thing to celebrate. After 61 anniversaries, I quess orginial gift ideas are hard to come up with.
Elope...take her by her hand and tell her she's got an hour to get ready......take her the courthouse and have a judge remarry you. I think that would be very special. Or renew your vows surround by family and friends. Remarry the woman that has dedicated her life to you.
Have her a trophy made for putting up with you for that many years. I swear my husband needs one, and we have only been married 26 years. Seriously, how about a necklace made with 61 beads. If it was my anniversary I would love for him to want to renew our vows before our children and family. That would be my dream, and then another honeymoon of course!
You didn't give us a budget or life style info, so I am trying to give you several ideas for all circumstances. Here's another favorite have someone take all those pictures taken over the years and put them on a viedo and add her favorite music to it. My friend who lost her son was given one of her son, and I thought why not do this all the time.
Buy her favorite movie, order dinner in, and sit on the couch and make out like teenagers...matching rocking chairs...there is so many...Ok, 3 top choices- renewing the vows with or without a big party.....the necklace with 61 beads.......or the picture viedo...
Hope I could help in some kind of a way. I am hope I am so lucky one day to worry about what to give my husband on our 61st.
God bless us all.........................

You could give her a bottle of champagne that is 61 years old - with a poem (that you craft), using words that you might use to describe champagne/your marriage, in your original poem that accompanies the bottle (bubbly, lively, warming, etc.) OR you could give her 61 gold-dollar coins in a small, drawstring bag, and, again, use words in a poem that describe the coins - but also your marriage (golden, shining, worth its weight in gold, etc). I think that if you don't like either of these ideas, dinner + flowers might do the trick! Happy Anniversary!

Flowers
or a photo album of all the kids
My parents just had their 50th and that's about all they would allow us to give them - much less each other.
