No way, if he makes you happy and you make him happy, it would be a shame to throw it away over a false issue like the differences in age.

I don't think chronological age would be a problem between 38 and and 28. It isn't bad at all. If you are attracted to a person that age you should definitely pursue getting to know them. A ten-year age difference is significant at different times in a person's life, like between a 15 year old who meets a 25 year old! That's not good. By the time you are 28, you've been out in the world and know yourself pretty well---well enough to go out with people you are attracted to---even 38 year olds.

I was 28 when I married my 38-year old husband. Our marriage ended last year, not because of the age difference but because of other reasons. The most difficult thing to get over with that big of an age gap is, you are going to go through stages of your life that he has already gone through, and he may be a little bit impatient with you - or you may want to do things that he has already done and does not want to do again. If you truly love each other, keep the lines of communication open and talk over the little things before they become big problems.

Good luck!!

I think if you love someone. It shouldn't matter the age, as long its nothing, that will get you into trouble. The only way it would be wrong if he; is married and only using you to have sex. But it is okay to date someone that is older then you. You are young and have time, to know what you want... Love is difficult thing to, go through; especially if that somebody is 10 years older. So if things don't work out, then your still young, to look at things differently. Well good luck in your relationship.

No- Honestly please dont let people every try to tell you differently either. I am 24 almost 25 and my boyfriend is 37. We are a very happy couple. Have known one another 8 years now but only started dating 4 months ago and I am 8 weeks pregnant. True we were at different points in our life but we have come together and realized that we both needed to settle down and live the finer life. We actually got pregnant only 2 months into our dating. We were shocked at first because it is a first for me and he already has two boys ages 10,14. So please dont let anyone tell you differently ever. If you are both happy that is what truly counts.

No of course not. I think age is irrelevant once you get over a certain age. Im 25 and my partner is 30 not that the age gap is that big but i dont even notice it and i prefere it that way.
