God and jesus are 2 different things. Jesus is the son of God. He isn't the Lord. Yes, God doesn't want u to worship anyone or anything else. Jesus knows that, and doesn't want to be worshiped. He knows his place is next to God. That is why they say to pray to God, and not jesus.

Jesus and God are One and the same. It's called Trinity - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. When you worship Jesus, you're not disobeying God; you're worshiping God, too. It can sound confusing, but it's the real thing.
Jesus loves you.

God and Jesus are one. God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three in 1. The Trinity.

read the Bible. I don't say that to be mean but really read the gospel Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus talks about worshiping God the father, not himself. He came to save us from sin but not to worship Him only God. Jesus himself worshiped God and told us to do the same. We do not pray to Jesus but In Jesus name we pray Dear God or Our Father. Hope this helps it is a very good question and makes people think. It is no Jesus or the Bible telling us to worship Jesus but people, preachers or whatnot, that say it but follow what the Bible says.

Say you are from another planet and you observe a human mother and daughter. They are in fact the same to you, as someone not of their species, but yet different the mother is older and wiser. Same with God and the Son to believe the Father you must believe the Son. They are one when looked at from the point of not being of the same being, entity or species. As with the mother and daughter they also are one and yet two seperate individuals.

God is LORD, he is above everything. Christ is Lord our Lord God. They are one and the same but yet different. Christ came down as a human to save us, all of us that believe that he did.

Jesus didn't meet the overall criteria to be saviour so he's false. Jesus was a man, nothing more or less. All Christians bastpheme in the eyes of God (if there is one...I am Agnostic) by elevating Jesus to like status. They'll all see in the end when it turns out that the Jews have been right all along by NOT accepting Jesus as much of anything but a quality teacher. PEACE!

Ok... Let's try to explain... When i was little i had this explanation which i found very logical, but it helps understand the way this Happens:
There's is ONE God... But he Has Three Personalities, Three Functions let's say, The functions are:
Father: He created Us, and is like the chief.
Son: He is Jesus, that's the personality of God who came to Earth and died for Us, he understands what we go through because he was humann and he felt what it was like.
Holy Spirit: He is like the glue for Father and Son, he comes here to earth to console us, to bring us hope and happiness...
He is three Persons in One, like Water is Liquid, Gas and Ice.. the three of them are water but in different shape..
I know it's complicated, i had (and have) a rough time analyzing this... but you can Pray for Understanding of This... and He, the Holy Spirit will open your mind to understand it... Really, just pray and ask for that... Do it with your heart.

Ok, I'll try to answer this...
God said we are made in his image. A human has 3 parts: 1.Body, 2.Soul (mind, will and emotions- this part goes with the Spirit to heaven) and 3.Spirit (the part of you that is the real you the one that goes to heaven.)..
God has 3 parts too. God the Father (mind), God the Son (body), and God the Holy Spirit (spirit). They are all one.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?"
It is something that can only be grasped by faith. The gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing.

It means just what it says but you also have to understand that
all 3 God the father God the son and God the holy spirit are one and the same. You may want to talk to your pastor or a family member and get more details on this subject.
