If I ask you to prove to me you love your mother, other then taking your word for it is there any thing you can show me or give me that can not be denied, by any person in the world? Even though You KNOW you love your mother? Also If I ask you to show me air, can you, even though you KNOW it is there? If I believe I can jump out a second floor window and fly to the drarf planet pluto does that change the laws of gavity? How do you know if you ask GOD if HE is real he won't answer? My proof can not be put in your hand, because even though it is in existence, it is in the past.

First, before you can embark upon such a proof, you must define "God." No one I know of attempts such a step. Theists and atheists alike scoff at such an elemental requirement.

Second, you commit various logical fallacies, such as an appeal to ignorance. Here is a description of this fallacy, which I just copied from a web page:

An appeal to ignorance is an argument for or against a proposition on the basis of a lack of evidence against or for it. If there is positive evidence for the conclusion, then of course we have other reasons for accepting it, but a lack of evidence by itself is no evidence.

Basically, your argument appears to be an inductive one in which you attempt to show, by examples, that an appeal to ignorance works for other cases, so it should work for the case at hand.

In conclusion, your argument has no persuasive appeal,so you must start from scratch.

"Is absence of proof of God proof of the absence of God?" No. I think you are leaning more into the area of agnosticism. (atheism and agnosticism are not mutually exclusive). I am an Agnostic Atheist. I don't believe in the existence of deities, but I don't entirely rule them out, either. I personally, feel that the existence of deities is unlikely (though possible). I also feel that the majority of theistic religions are man-made, and impossible. You mentioned an issue of the burden of proof. It always lays on the person making the fantastic claim. If I were to say there were a flying spaghetti monster, you would ask for proof, and rightly so. There cannot be proof that gods do not exist. What you have to do is start from an unbiased point. The evidence does not necessarily support a divine creator. Theists generally tend to lean that way due to their upbringing and social environment. You should always start with the question and try to find the answer. You should never start with the answer and try to fit the question to it.

First your proof they will shoot done because they refuse to acknowledge any truth - for they are blind guides leading the blind - and both will fall into the ditch

Secondly, your mother's love is provable, by the things she has done for you, however not all mothers love the same way and even some do horrible things to their children. So again it is speculative theory for the proof of God

Thirdly, yes you can prove there is air. By filling a bag with it and watching the bag react to it - the same way a politician fills his lungs, and reacts as bag full of hot air - Air shows that it has power by what it does the feel of it on our face, the blowing of trees, the lifting up of leaves etc. yet this is nature not God.

Fourthly, you can prove that gravity exists because it acts accordingly every time and thus we have the laws of gravity!

The proof for God is there - yet because of unbelief men refuse to listen to it, for they do not want to obey the truth. Proof of God's existence doesn't gurantee spiritual life or eternal life or rewards in heaven once getting there - It is only by faith that we are saved and this not of ourselves lest any man should boast - unless faith is the rule - there is no proof of God needed, without faith no proof of God's existence will suffice

Dude: my behavior toward my mother not only demonstrates my love but she would confirm it readily. Since love is a feeling, outward demonstration is needed as confirmation right? And since I communicate my love, the object of my love would have to agree I have communicated it as proof. Love without action is faith without works. It's dead and null. I can also show you air by having you blow up a balloon or having a fan blow ribbons about. You can readily see, measure and reproduce on demand its effects. We can do none of these things with claims of the divine. You cannot readily see, measure and reproduce on demand any supposed miracle, can you? Who hasn't asked God if he/she/it is real? You can't prove anything about your religious experience of the divine because you cannot reproduce it, we cannot see it, it cannot be measured, nor can we eliminate other possibilities for your interpretation of this past event. Just as you can make your existence plain by physically manifesting in range of their senses, a god could certainly do the same if it wanted to be known and worshipped, but instead the gods play hide and seek in a way that is seen, measured and demonstrated with the same effect as if nothing exists called a god. And since we cannot distinguish a god from nothing, it's reasonable to assume it's superstition and mere assertion. In no other area of life do we undertake major life changes on someone's mere assertion, and we shouldn't make an exception for bronze age superstitions.

You haven't proven anything. You can love the tooth fairy and santa claus, but that doesn't prove anything. Air can be seen down to the molecular level. Flying to the Pluto would defy the laws of gravity, therefore it will never be observed. We can only prove things that we can observe, measure or record with one of our senses....otherwise its just fanciful thinking...sorry.

Whatever you believe is proof enough for you is proof enough for you regardless of weather that proof leads you to belief or disbelief. Knowing without proving is called having faith. If you've faith that God (if there is one...I am Agnostic) exists than so be it and I respect that...just don't force what you see as proof upon me as I'll just question it. That's what Agnostics do...they question matters of faith. PEACE!

You can not prove anything except that you must be something because you are thinking therefore have some sort of intelect, thus "I think therefore I am" Descartes.

Throne, you lost me. You took me out and cut the rope. Your question is not clear. But anyway, why not just go the source----God and ask Him.
