England is famous for all sorts of stuff. True - curry and kebabs are part of the national diet, but it's not what we are famous for. try a Sunday Roast. (Roasted meat - chicken, beef, ham, whatever, yorkshire puddings, carrots, roasted potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc etc. Cook loads of it, get the family round and enjoy. No better way to spend a sunday afternoon. We also have fish and chips, which I know you guys love.

Oh and by the way - yes curry and kebabs - why not???? What is the American national dish, coz when I last checked, there wasn't one........unless you class hamburgers as food.

Fish and chips
Chips and gravy or chips and curry sauce
Sunday roast - Roast poultry or joint of meat , roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, veggies, parsnips, gravy
Bangers and mash
Pork pie
Toad in the hole

Ploughmans
Hot pot (like Betty's on Coronation street)

Puds like...

Fish and Chips, Steak and Kidney Pie, and yes even curry and kebabs.

The concept of the "curry" was introduced in England by Indian immigrants. (Sort of like the concept of the pizza we know today was introduced by Italian immigrants in the US).

Fish and Chips.

Or pie & mash in London's East End only, especially the one in Roman Road if it's still there.
