Im' not sure what kind of tooth paste but be sure to use your spouses tooth brush

I'm sure that there is special toothpaste for that. Check at PetSmart of PetCo. Your local veterinarian might sell it too. It is important that you clean the cats teeth. Your vet should be able to do it for $15-$30.

Gosh I thought there would be a good answer here.
There is special toothpaste for cats, I think it comes in chicken and tuna flavors like the laxatone for hairballs or constipation.
I just wouldn't use anything formulated for dogs without running it by a vet first.

Use the same kind that you use on dog's teeth! They sell kits at most pet stores. Good luck on brushing a cat's teeth! I'll be very impressed if you can. My hands would be a bloody mess if I tried to brush my cats' teeth...

I don't know about cat's toothpaste but target sells dogs toothpaste. It might work because it is beef flavored so it should appeal to the cat too.

Toothpaste made for pets do not use human for eventually will make them sick and even put the cat's life at risk. Can buy at Petsmart,petco even Kroger-alll petstores should carry Also Vets offices carry it.

walmart has a beef flavored toothpaste with a brush for $2.96 works good

You don't. And you shouldn't do anything to their teeth unless instructed by a vet.
