Do you agree this life is but the childhood of our immortality?

They say that science and technology hold the key to immortality, At least for the time being, at least we live a few decades, and then we are gone like the blades of grass you see everywhere outside. What's your thoughts on this matter?

The knowledge and experience we gain in mortality is of far greater importance than eons of time on both sides of our lifetimes.
