It would feel a little awkward...it would depend on how good friends are they, are they just acquaintances? then say yes. Best friends? definitely no!

I am not sure.. I dated two friends from college.. one I dated in college for three years once that was over (WE ALL ARE FRIENDS NOW) I started dating the next one for ten years so really who know how the story will end. You only have one life deal the cards and look at the hand

The friend ma get the hump but thats just a hurt ego. I would go for it with the friend. Does the guy you like know his friend asked you out if so its his problem to sort if there will be issues with his friend.

Just speak to the friend first and explain the situation. Say that you like his friend and that you would like to go out with him. At least you would be being adult about it and letting his friend know and given the opportunity to be prepared and if he then chose to act like a child by trying to stop you or throwing obstacles in your way, then thats his problem as there is nothing more you could have done.

Just go for it.
I used to go out with my fiances best friend, My partner told him before we starting going out that he wanted to go out with me, he caused a few problems in the beginning, however we sorted this out and ive been with my fiance for 5 years now.

Sorry, yet sounds like he may be there especially on your interest... My suggestion is to get over this guy. i understand itll be HORRIBLY confusing yet merely distance your self from him, dont bypass to places he is going to, dont do stuff that you recognize will remind you of him, etc.. Itll take a lengthy time period yet itll be well worth it on the suitable. in case you decide on to furnish it one very last shot, tell him if he loves you hell drop his present day female friend (which i imagine it may be truly advise to her sorry) and attempt to promises it one very last attempt.

it would depend if he and the friend are really close and if the friend really did like me. if not and if i liked the guy i would go out with b/c that was in our past.
