Am I missing something about Jewish people?

Why does everyone hate Jewish people so much? I guess I've never really encountered many Jews. What are they doing that is so awful? I just can't believe they're that bad. What am I missing?

I think the answer needs a spiritual explanation of why is hatred of the Jews.

The reason why Jewish people are hated so much is because Jesus came through this genealogy, for the sake of saving mankind from eternal damnation. Thus, Satan has always been upset with God's victory over the Resurrection on the Cross at Calvary, thus, he continues to take out aggression on the Jewish people.

So, it not so much the hate of the Jewish people, as it is the hate of Jesus who conquered the grave and took some of Satan power from him, and one day Satan must meet his final destination, and he (Satan) wants to take as many people down with him as possible. Jews were first because Christianity didn't come on the scene until thousands of years later, then the next are the Christians on his hate list, and lastly, is all of mankind (the human race).

You're not missing anything, darlin.' While I think it's maybe a bit of an exageration to say everyone hates jews, it is true that they are disliked by many. The main reasons for this are: 1) They are usually shrewd business people and have a knack for finance, thus they control a lot of large corporations and industries. As you know, many people get jealous or feel threatened by people who attain success. It's always easier to blame someone else than to work harder, right?
2) The country of Israel, is of course, a Jewish nation. Israel has a long history of basically thumbing its nose at the U.N. and doing whatever it wants. Example: the recent air strikes against Beirut, where thousands of innocent Lebanese civilians were killed, all because some Lebanese soldiers kidnapped a couple of Israeli border patrols! The United States gives Israel 3 billion a year in aid, and many people resent this.
But you should keep an open mind. Remember: there are hate groups all over the world, and every nation or ethnic group is hated by someone out there. Don't form prejudices until someone gives you a reason to do so.
And, u h, no...I'm not jewish! LOL

I dont believe that "everyone" hates Jews. There is however a lot of jealousy of the Jewish people, largely by unintelligent and misinformed people. Throughout history Jews have outperformed other religions in the areas of Science, Medicine, Research, Education, Arts etc. And yes, especially in business and finance where Jews have been so successful, creative and inventive that there are those who see it is a conspiracy. Israel is the ancestral home of the Jewish people. They were there many thousands of years before any Arab set foot in it. So how could they be accused of "taking" it from Muslims. Just another example of misinformation. And to top it all, Jews are indeed God's chosen people. No wonder there is so much jealousy!

First everyone doesn't hate Jews and generalizations will always get you in trouble. Next time ask why is it that many or most people hate Jews. Now let's see...According to most the Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus and despite history proving the contrary (THE ROMANS MURDERED JESUS) many can't forgive that. There is also the misconception that the Jews control the majority of the world's riches/wealth...total fallacy, but none the less there are those that believe that to be true.

There is much jealousy about the accomplishments of famous Jews in History and the Arts considering that they've never been in a majority position. So far as the Arabs hating Jews goes it's more of a turf war than religious thing. Afterall they forget that their roots are from the Semetic people also. PEACE!

Because the Bible said that people would hate them. Look at it this way in a world that obviously does not want much to do with God. THey would probably not want much to do with God's chosen heritage The Jewish people.

Oh and that's incorrect Jews did not take the Muslims land that was political agenda and fabrication made my an early Roman Emperor that hated Jews and had them persecuted. Rome used to own all the maps and the Roman emperor changed the name of the land on the map. It is a political fabrication. Apack of lies to put it plainly

I am not sure I agree with you that people hate the Jewish people. Jews are living all over the world including the middle east amongst other people of different races and religion. Jews hold high ranks and positions in many countries.

Are you aware that there are many Jews currently living peacefully in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and many Arab / Muslim countries and they have their Synagogues built there?

People may weary of Zionism and not Judism.

mostly it is jealousy- The Jewish people are God's chosen- though they have yet to receive Yeshua as the Messiah, they have taken God's perfect instruction seriously. Because they follow God's instructions for this life, they , for the most part, enjoy life in abundnace- they take seriously the God's order, His authority , His word and blessing. We see a lot of wealthy, successful Jewish people, because those that reject God refuse to acknowledge the reason behind the success and blessing of the Jewish people they would rather be envious and make false accusations like they are miserly, theives ,etc- this is just NOT true- they have a right to everything they have earned and every blessing God has bestowed upon them because they have been an obedient people.

They are not. They have the distinction of being Gods chosen people. They suffer for the sins of the fathers.
It is written , he who blesses Israel will be blessed and he who curses Israel will be cursed.

As a Christian , I admire the Jewish people and their state.
The hand of God is truly upon them. All prophesy comes from them.

As for me I truly love them and only answer questions when asked. I never try to convert my Jewish friends. In my heart I wish they would, but we don't know who will be chosen to live forever in the presence of Elohim.

Those Christians who don't realize Jesus WAS a Jew are angry about the fact that Jesus died in the same place he was born.

They are stereotypically good at making money, so a lot of people resent that, too.

I resent people who hoard riches that will never be used while there are so many starving people in the world, but I resent them totally regardless of race!

Some hate all Jews because they, "Killed Christ."

Some hate all Jews because their religion teaches them that they alone are God's chosen people and all gentiles are scum that believers do not have to deal squarely with.

Some hate all Jews because they stole that land from the palestinian residents. (Just because your people 'owned' a country two thousand years before doesn't mean squat, and claiming 'divine' right is ridiculous!.)

Some hate all Jews because the word 'Jew' is synomous with cheapness and they have personally been ripped of by a Jew.

Some hate all 'real' Jews because they insist that the world is flat just as their scripture claims and are therefore promoting ignorance and intolerance.

There must be a few other reasons that I can't think of right now.....hope that was enough for you.
