I'd pay double the ticket price, easily. However, it really is a matter of parents without parenting skills that is the problem. The badly behaved children do so, because their parents allow it. I was never physically disciplined as a child, but I knew there were swift and consistent consequences for bad behavior. I might have to sit in the corner or have my favorite toy taken away for a week or so when I was very young. As I got older, I couldn't go to firend's houses to play or have friends over if I misbehaved. I was also rewarded for good behavior. It would never have occurred to me even as a very young child to scream in public, kick a chair (whether occupied or not), write on public surfaces, etc. If we can't pay for a "bad parent-free" flight, then each person on the flight gets to dope slap the parent who has failed to discipline his/her child.

You are not a mom, are you? No, I don't think so! For your bitter question, I guess you have no idea what a blessing is to be a mom.
Now, about the plane issue...what about if instead of child free flights, we get "careless parents" free flights.
The children behave bad because their parents let them do so.
I have a 7 year old son, and we have been traveling by plane 2 times a year and we have never had a problem with him, he is a very educated kid.

I totally agree with you. In most of the situations like you described, I blame the parents, not the kids. I would love to have a child-free flight!

I'm flying to Paris (from Ca) in November, and your question makes me really nervous to have loud, annoying kids on my flight!

Airlines are restrictive enough already. Take your headphones, listen to music and be thankful you are among the 1% of the world's population wealthy enough to fly.
I make a habit of carrying a bag of sugar-free lollipops with me. You'd be surprised how well just one will appease the "bored" child. Why lollipops? It's hard for a child to accidentally swallow a piece of candy attached to a stick. Safety first, always.

Sure...fine. And I'd pay extra for a flight on a airline that starts whiny-adult-free flights, too.
For somebody who's trying to get pregnant (I read your other questions)...I feel sorry for your future kids. Are you gonna rip your own kid's head off everytime they act up? I think you need to get a pet goldfish...and skip the kids.

look at it from their point of view. if you bring a child on for free, how much will your seat go up since they have to make a certain amount per flight for fuel and fees and how many other bills.. the planes that do not belong to the airport have to pay fees for landing. what's to say you don't have six kids, all to get on free.. what would be a fair rate for adults to pay for your six kids to get on free.. does the price you suggest fit the young folks who don't have kids going on vacation or grandma and grandpa going to visit the grand kids...think hard before you answer...

Child free flights (and cell phone free airport terminals) with free booze and smoking permitted...I'm there.
Smoke free? Nope, you can keep it, I'll take my own plane.
