Ok this is how the situation went... I asked my new co-worker out; lets say Wednesday to see a comedy show on the weekend but she said she was busy. Thursday comes around and she confronted me verfying that I wanted to take her out yesterday and I said yes. So then she tells me that she is dating someone for the past 7 years but they are not ingaged/married. So I kept my cool but then Monday comes and she asks me if i wanted to catch a movie and have dinner this weekend (she mentioned as friends) and of course I said yes. Let me remind you, we enjoy each others company at work and we both can't stop smiling to one another. Can someone tell me how do they perceive this situation as? Does she has interests in me or is this a casual thing "friends" do. I have never came across a "friend" that wanted to go out with me even though she is seeing someone. Help me out.

Be careful! If she's been on and off again with someone for 7yrs. chances are she has stronge feelings for this person. You may be someone on the side while they're off again, but as soon as things are on, she may drop you like a hot potato. Been there done that. I say, keep it friendly, like at work only! I think if you go out with her, even as friends, you're likely to develope feelings. Just my opinion. Good luck!

I go out with my guy friends all the time and although I smile at them too I do love my guy and would never cheat on him so for now you are this girl friend but since she is not engaged and if she ever does break up well guess your the one she will turn to but for now your going to accept that you are just her friend.
