When I play video games they say things like "boys are so stupid." If you don't play them what do you do till fill all that time??

I am a woman and I like video games when I have some free time. You need to keep it balanced, if you play too much that is not a desirable quality to women. Keep it balanced and fun and try playing together.

i don't like them because, personally, i think they are quite mindless (i guess as opposed to sitting on yahoo answers all day and answering questions). Back to the question, we just aren't usually encouraged to play them, and if we play the games WITH the boys, they become too competitive. Most of the games are made more with boys in mind. Science fiction, sports, war games.....of course MANY girls can like these things, but as you noted, it tends to be the males that like and continue to play these video games.

Maybe if you paid more attention to the girl,she'd have nothing to say about them.Just dont play them when you have a female guest. Just a gesture, fill up that time with a lil 4 play!!

Why do guys like them? I only like to play Crash Bandicoot and will get to the boredom stage after 2 minutes! My brother and his mate will play FIFA for hours and hours and hours and hours!!
In answer to the second part of your question I (a girl) spend my time working, going out to dinner, getting drunk and watching Friends.....actually thats my version of the male "video game" .

As a woman I do NOT hate video games. I actually play them with my husband. Also, I like him playing them...it keeps him occupied as I shop with his money...just kidding...but they don't bother me...I'm pretty sure there are worse things in the world too do.

It's not that we hate video games, it's that we don't often find them as interesting as you do. We prefer to spend our time with other people, or pursuing a hobby?

I happen to love video games. It gives me the chance to get closer to my children and spend quality time with them. Many of them are quite fun.
