The new LG fridges with the screen in the door, next to the ice and water, are they worth the price and how much people are going on about them?
My family and I need a new frig and we were looking at that one because it's big enough for a big family. I just want some opinions.

My husband, still a child at heart, has got our two boys wanting one too. I'm out numbered!!!

In my case it would be worth it. Sometimes I get up for a glass of water and just "space out". Now this isn't a big issue (maybe it is and I don't want to admit it), BUT if there was a TV in the fridge I can use that as my excuse and my wife might not think I have brain damage.

Consider this how ofetn will, you use the monitor I guess if it allows you to make note of items that are getting low would be good but you can save yourselves a easy thousand dollars and get a nice plasma for the family room instead of a small lcd on a fridge suggest this to your kids and husband and I do believe if you factor the cost and them getting a nice shiny new big screen for the living area or a new computer for the kids education. I think you will look at a large fridge minus the monitor and spend the extra money on a gadget the whole family will enjoy.
I hope this helps spending money wisely will make more sense in the long run.

No, I think it's a novelty at best. Just the new "oh look, it's shiny" kind of thing.
