If energy does not die but changes form ?

why then do some people believe that we sleep till judgement day ... what happens to our energy in the meantime ... energy doesn't just stop for a period of time does it ?

for those who believe we just cease to exist and our energy changes in that way ( i do understand your thinking on that so no need to reply )

many people have been taught an incorrect understanding about souls. genesis 2:7 says that adam came to BE a living soul, not that he had a soul. genesis 1:24 shows animals are also souls, not containing souls.
ezekial 18:4,20 acts 3:23, and revelation 16:3 show that souls die. the scriptures in ezekial show that souls that sin die. if as genesis says, a soul is just a living creature, every creature sinning will die. that is why humans die, because we all sin.

psalms 146:3 shows that when a man dies, his spirit goes out. that spirit is his life force, his energy. his energy leaves and he dies. ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 show the dead are unconscious. that is a sound biblical arguement against the false teaching of hell and purgatory. the dead are not tormented, they are unconscious.

romans 6:7,23 shows that death is payment for our sins. when we die, the price is paid. so the thought of sinners being tortured in hell for ever for their sins during their lives is contradictory to the bible's teachings. rather, john 5:28,29 shows that both righteous and unrighteous people will be resurrected. the resurrection occurs after armageddon when the earth has been cleaned of sinners. the judgement of the resurrected ones occurs then. but they are not judged by the deeds during their first lives, because they have already paid the price for those sins. revelation20: 1-3, 7-9 show the devil will be chained for a thousand years during Christ's reigh as King. after that, satan is released and allowed to mislead those who would be mislead. after that, satan and all those who follow him are destroyed. that is the judgement. then, those who served Jehovah God and his king Jesus, will live forever on the earth as humans were originally intended to do.

As a Catholic I believe in a Purgatory (Maccabees) where our soul goes for purification. Christ dying on the cross was to save us and open the gates of Heaven, which were closed to mankind.
