How do I shut him up, my neighbours will kill me

Now aren't you just ever so glad you got a sulphur crested cockatoo for a pet? Cockatoos naturally make a lot of noise in the morning, it's one of the ways the flock communicates. He's calling out for more of his own kind, and that's what you get for taking a marvelous animal like that out of its natural environment just so you can show off to your friends and (now very pissed-off) neighbors that you have a pretty bird.

Sucker!

Next time do some research and get a goldfish. Nice & quiet, those goldfish.

You should have researched better. This is who cockatoos are. They are noisy, messy birds who need a LOT of attention and supervision. Do you cover his cage at night. If not now is the time to start. Birds need to get 10 -12 hours of sleep each night.

They are more active in the morning and cockatoos are noisy anyways

Look i have 4 and they do the same so what i do is cover them until i wake up. they are senstive to light so cover him in the night and make sure that their is no light so it wont scream and no 1 will have to kill u

That is really their nature. Don't worry about your neighbors. If it doesn't bother you it shouldn't bother your neighbors. Good Luck
