I believe the fish you have is pretty light so you can do almost anything with your rice. If you haven't cooked it yet put some chicken stock in (you can use the cube, or the paste). When it is done saute some sweet onion in a little butter, add some sliced mushrooms, fresh parsley salt and pepper. If you cook the onions until they start to caramelize a bit it will give it a really nice flavor. This is a simple dish and the taste is really good. If you don't want to put mushrooms in you don't have to. I put broccoli in mine (brown jasmine rice) last night and we had salmon marinated in soy sauce, fresh garlic, honey, fresh ginger and orange juice. Bottom line....what tastes good to you may not taste good to someone else and since you are eating it.....enjoy all the flavors you want. Have fun.....experiment!!!

I love flavoring my white rice with garlic. i peel it and smash it up. into a paste. put a little salt and pepper in it. then put about a 1/2 tbl spoon of it in a pan and a 1/2 tbl spoon olive oil and fry the rice in it.
( **before you cook it. *make sure to rinse the rice at least twice before that.) then when it is a little brown you cook the rice like you normally would. you add a 1/4 tsp olive oil again to the water and some chicken boulon flavor, and BOOM! you have the best tasting rice there is!!!

COLOMBIAN WHITE RICE
2 c. long grain rice
1/2 med. onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Add salt to taste
1/4 c. olive oil
In a deep saucepan, saute vegetables in oil; add garlic and salt. Then add 2 cups rice and 2 cups water (should not have too much water, this will make rice soggy). Cover rice and set setting on medium high, leave it for 14 minutes and never open until 14 minutes are up. Then open rice and stir only once. Cover rice and set on low for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes check to see if rice is tender. Keep covered on stove top until ready to serve. Feeds eight. (Ratio or rice to water is one to one.)

do the rice as regular just instead of water use chicken stock, add some, white pepper and some chopped garlic and onions.
Or I would do regular white rice, then saute it after cooled with chopped veggies like if I'm doing a Chinese rice but without the soy sauce, just a bit of paprika for color.

You can add just about any seasoning to rice. A simple but tasty method is to add some chicken boullion or broth to it while cooking. Perhaps mix in some vegetables like corn, sliced carrots, or peas. If you want to spice it up add some hot sauce.

I would leave it the way it is. Sometimes sprinkling parsley flakes spruces up the look, but without the added flavor. Also, you should try brown rice with fish. It's better!

You can use a veggie medly like peas and carrots, or a cheese sauce to go over the rice and a side veggie.
