Men love virgins because they don't like slutty women full stop. It has more to do with double standard than worried about being compared to other guys.
My guy didn't go looking for a virgin, all his other women weren't. He never thought of marriage with them like he does with me and he doesn't have the respect for them he has for me. Men prefer to marry a virgin if given the option.

I have what you might think is a funny answer for this....I'd like her to either be a virgin or a total slutt! I would be less interested in the normal woman. I don't like mediocre women.

Not interested in asking women what they want? I believe that men would choose a virgin because they can't deal with being compared to, and yet you can't keep you own zipper closed
