If we were to clone a person, we would be responsible to bring the clone up just like every other baby. If all goes well they will have a sense of moral responsibility, want for a common good, and all the like. These are the constituents of a soul, and should therefore be not unlike all our non cloned souls.

Hello Jim,
Well i know the old sin nature comes via the blokes line, that's why Jesus was sinless. Because his father was God with complete righteousness. However the original cell still comes from a person who has a blood line so the ohhhhhhh this is very complicated. Body plus spirit is a human soul. Well they must have a soul then because the spirit is part of the trinity of humanity even if its not enlivened until the holy spirit does that. Anyway its worth thinking about,,,, I'm just sending the monkey up the flag pole so to speak.

this is the very reason i do not believe in cloning
i am of the belief that the soul/spirit is first and put into a body during conception ..
if we create a clone .. at what point would this being be a living thinking being.. at what point does that spark of life begin
we should not play God

I think so. Because if GOD didn't want that clone to exist, I don't think he would aloe man to have the technology. When GOD didn't want man in space until HE said it's o.k. HE took action. In the bible there is a story about a tower. All the people got together to build a city, then decided to build a great tower..." come, let us build .... a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves....The lord said, " If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come let US go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. So the LORD scattered them from there over all the Earth, and they stopped building the city." (Gen 11: 1-9)

A clone develops just as any other embryo - just the DNA has been introduced in to the egg differently and it is gestated like a normal fetus - it's not just a body formed in a container like you see in the Sci-Fi movies. So souls should approach it as any other creature that has a soul.

We can't clone whole people.
Cloning refers to several different process involving embryos and/or methods of fertilization (you have to look it up yourself).
About the soul: All I know is that life cannot exist without soulness.
I guess if an embryo fails to become fertilized you could say that "God didn't give it a soul" Maybe it's random. lol!

You want a detailed answer?
Well, if I had to guess, if there are infinite numbers of souls wanting to experience earth, I'm sure one would jump right in.
this is also untrue and an idea I can't prove.

As far as one is concerned, souls are given by God by his choice. God has mercy on whom he has mercy. This is his decison.
