I definetly think animals have souls I also think "since the notion of a Soul is a spiritual concept"...and has little or nothing to do with Science. The fact that we as humans can even pretend to dismiss the fact "Soul-Less" I believe is the Height of Arrogance.
Perhaps it is time that we "open our minds, as well as our hearts, and except our fellow creatures as partners on this earth. Letting them walk beside us. Instead of behind us. Knowing the unconditional love they do exhibit...and the feelings, they have as well..when they know you are sick, or sad. They can feel this, and I do believe it. Otherwise we would not greive for them. Rainbow bridge is a very good poem to be found on the internet.
I am a true lover and believer that animals have souls too. Remember...God did put them on The Arc...

I know my pets have souls. They love and feel just like I do.
I believe that pets have just the same right to go to "Heaven" as humans do.
There is a group of people that have a hunting background and if they believe that animals have souls then they would be killing something that feels and that is close to God.
Other people believe that God only made man to have souls and that if animals had souls then man wouldn't be special. I think those are the same people that don't believe in evolution.

Humans think we have souls and other animals do not because most people think we are special. We aren't.
All creatures with intelligence should be treated with respect. What matters is the mind, not the body it resides in.
Dogs, cats, dolphins, monkeys, horses, llamas, and elephants can all feel pain and should not be tortured. Trees, grass, amoebas, plankton, and algae do not have brains, so it doesn't really matter as much how they are treated.
...
As for the comment above, "animals have insticts that can be controlled," so do humans.

Because not even humans have souls. The Bible says, "Humans are souls."
Man IS A SOUL. (Gen 2:7; 1 Co. 15:45; Jos. 11:11; Acts 27:37).
Animals ALSO called a soul. (Num. 31:28; Rev. 16:3; Lev. 24:18).
Soul has blood, eats and can die. (Jerm. 2:34; Lev. 7:18; Ezek. 18:4).
Man, having life, is said to have soul. (Mark 8:36; John 10:15).
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOUL AND THE SPIRIT.
Life as a person or creature is soul (John 10:15; Lev. 17:11)
Life-force activating souls called "spirit." (Psalms 146:4; 104:29).
When one dies, control of life-force returns to God (Ec. 12:7)
God alone can put life-force into action. (Ezek. 37:12-14).

I know...I feel they do have souls...poor little creatures of God..but we are created in the likeness of God so therefore have souls...But i think animals show us the good part of life...they really do...when we come home from a hard day....and they love us regardless...AND HUMANS DON'T!!!

I think animals have souls, they are too wonderful not to. They know all the emotions we do, love, fear, contentment, they are wonderful creatures, they have spirits, I am sure there is a heaven for them, too, where there is always a full bowl of delicious food and God's warm lap to curl up in. I miss my cat, she was so nice.

I believe animals go where we do, but not because they have souls like we do, they have animal souls.
I had a Sunday School teacher who read something from the Bible that said animals don't go to heaven...but I don't remember the book, chapter, and verse.
