Interesting question!

If the Sharpie is non-toxic, then this would eliminate the chance of ink poisoning. BUT...
there are other things to consider. First, would be to think about where that Sharpie point has been. What sort of germ infested surfaces has it written on, and do you have any open scratches, scrapes or anything like that on your skin?
While the ink itself may be non-toxic, there could be ingredients within the ink or germs on the point of the pen that can be harmful if absorbed into the skin - especially if there is any kind of 'open' skin. (not to mention if you have a sensitivity or allergy to something within the ink).
If you are interested in 'decorating' your skin...you might want to consider the temporary tattoo, stick on body jewels and other sorts of tested/safe products to do that instead.
:)

Yes it is bad to write on your skin with a non toxic permanent marker because it still soaks in to your skin and gets into your blood system.

No, because it is non-toxic - it is dumb though.

No, it's completely safe, whoever said it happened to their "causen" or "Cousin" is retarded. Color away!
