There is no gift exchange holiday for Muslims and in fact we don't ever want it to become one of our traditions, as it would be an unacceptable innovation to turn it into a tradition. So, respecting that, you want to be sure not to give it on, say, their "birthday", any other known holiday like christmas, etc.
Because our good deeds are multiplied in reward during the entire month of Ramdan, this is the time Muslims will be more active in gift giving and charity overall. So, if you were to pick a time, I'd say Ramadan. Please don't just give it on the Eid, as that is becoming an innovation by some Muslims. Although it is PERMISSIBLE to give a gift on that day, ONLY so long as it is NOT turned into a tradition.
But there are more rewards during the actual month of Ramadan (Eid is the celebration, the day AFTER Ramadan is done), so I recommend any time during Ramadan, as this is what Muslims do more of, gift giving and charity during this time.

Invite them round for dinner in time for when they break their fast. At the end of Ramadhan, Eid (In a month or so) Muslims usually give each other money or food etc (though not compulsory) maybe a gift voucher might be nice, but i doubt they'll turn down a present!

Eid , which is after the last day of ramadan. Today was the first day of ramadan, so approximately 30 days from now should be Eid Ul Fitr which is a celebration and gift giving and recieving is common.

Ead and Navrus ( sorry about spelling). Ead they have 3 times a year and it's usually something small for kids. Navrus is a New Year in Muslim World ( March?). It's like Christmas. But still kids are priority about presents. it's not the amount that you spend count but attention

Well, any present given to them is a great present to them. Well, I am Muslim and it is nice to get them anything. May God bless you for your action.
