If you are, could you explain to me why? Every Christian I have ever met has been a hypocritical, judgmental and down right mean individual. Every Church I have attended has been more concerned with collecting my money than anything. Don't get me wrong, I love God and all, but I just want to know why some one would blindly follow a religion which belives being gay is a sin...Something is seriously wrong with you if you look down on gays.

I am a Christian.

My church does not make money their main focus, however some churches do. You should get out and find one that best suits you, instead of generalizing ALL of them.

I am not hypocritical, judgmental or down right mean. I stand for what I believe, but I do it in a way that does not harm or offend others.

I believe that being "gay" is wrong, however, I will not stand for gay bashing, or ANYONE gay or straight, being beaten, killed or discriminated against.

A true Christian prays for other people. A true Christian knows that they are NOT perfect, and that they should not judge anyone, because they are NOT GOD.

So...please stop generalizing us. I have gay, straight and whatever else people that I associate with. They know how I feel, but that doesn't change the way I am towards them. I'm a Christian for a reason. I am to be "Christ like" so that others will follow. I try and lead by example...

I am a Christian, and I'm sorry you've only run into the bad ones. I pray you keep looking. The church I attend gives out more money than it takes in, and the majority are not mean or judgemental. You will find those kinds of people everywhere, and in every society by the way, not just Christians. No one is claiming to be perfect - including those who go to church. The Christian church is not a museum for saints - it's a hospital for sinners. So no, I don't think it's hypocritical for people who go to church to sin - we all sin. And I don't 'blindly' follow my faith. I searched and studied for 10 years before deciding to follow the truth. I hope you are able to find Christians that will change your mind about us. God bless -

Religion is big business, Joel Osteen says his ministry has never been about the money. The church has about 6,000 congregants and an annual budget of 75 million over expenses.
They take in a million a week in baskets and 3 million in cards and envelopes. Tax free! The Catholic Church is one of the wealthiest organizations in the world. Yet it to is Tax Free.
Those men are actors who when they get good enough to get on TV become instant millionaires. They build hospitals and colleges but the trick is there not free. You pay to go there and usually more because it is a religious college. So there kids can pray in school. Like they could stop them.
But the government gets repaid. They don't speak out against the war no matter how many dies. They bless the guns used to kill people and tell the boys when you die on the battle field you go to heaven. Remember the rich religious leaders on the earth in Jesus day? They didn't care about the poor! The social programs for the elderly or sick. Jesus condemed them.
Through them out of the temple and called them money changers. Because all they cared about was the money.

I'm a so sorry you had to meet Christians like that. But remeber, don't judge all based on a few. Not every Christian is like that and not every church is after your money. There are churches that want more souls to come to Jesus then your money. And God doesn't hate gays he hates the spirit of homosexuality that is upon them. God loves each and every one of us and we all have sinned against Him. He loves the sinner but hates the sin. Remeber we are dealing with two forces here, Good and Evil, God and Satan. You have to distinguished what is God and what is the devil. I think most people tend to forget that. Im a Christian by the way.

Everyone is different, so there are different Christians as well. I'm sorry that the Christians you have encountered left you with that impression. There are Christians out there who do give more love than judgment and churches that love people more than money.
I, for one, admit to being a believer in Christ. I most certainly have my faults, but I do my best to be a loving person. I am also bisexual.

I am A Christian, and i agree that NO ONE, especially Christians, should not be cruel or mean or hate gays! Remember, just because some one says they are a Christian does not mean they are one. Jesus loved everyone, and showed kindness, respect, and compassion to everyone, not just his followers! Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and your life will be blessed. Admit to God you are a sinner, believe that Jesus is Gods son, and confess your faith in Jesus as your Saviour. You will not regret this decision, and you will go to heaven when you die.

You are right. there is alot of hypocrisy in the relligious world, but it is also in the secular world as well. For God, the only ones who qualify are those who obey him wtih the right heart.

Humans did not think this up. Homosexuality is against God's law, and there are several places where in the Bible it says this. Sin comes when man is out of line with God's law, and out of balance with his own true nature. Man also tends to want God to change his law, so he does not have to conform to it. Gay people are like everyone else. They have to confess their weaknesses and sin, and ask God for help.

As Einstein had said, homosexuality is a psychological disorder which can be 'cured'. It is just such a sensitive issue that few people choose to argue such, for fear of being 'shot down' by the gay lobby.

The church is full of imperfect people! We never claim to be perfect, we make mistakes just as everyone else does. As far as collecting money, how do you suggest they pay the bills, electricity, water, etc?
