Ok first off go to control panel, display and try to amend the settings there. if not see if you have contained the virus and that is where it is cntained if yur really that bothered then do a system recovery back to a date before you had the bug and got rid off it, this should restore the settings if not try inserting your original windows disk and recovering that way. Make sure you save anywork onto a back up disk before doing any restoring work on your p.c If none of this appeals to you then I'd suggest you take your hard drive to your nearest pc repair man!

Hey I know how you feel.(had the same problem)
you can follow the long anti-virus crap that everyone tells
you , which is time consuming and often gives you crappy results.
IF you just want a background FASTand Easy, follow my
10 EASY Steps..
1)click START-
2) go to Control Panel
3) then appearances and themes
4) click change Desktop Background
5)then click CUSTOMIZE DESKTOP
6)select the WEB (TAB)
7)click New
8)THen Browse for the image you want
9) click Ok-Then okay again...
10)Now just click Apply--wait for it to Apply--
Now just exit everything out
check your desktop...
you see the image?
after that you can Expand the image
center it-- minimize it
or whatever you want...!!
glad i can help---

Click start, control panel, display, desktop and then select the background you want - tile it or stretch it. or find a nice picture on your computer right click on it and click set as desktop background. If it tiles - go to control panel if you want it stretched and vice versa - I'm assuming you have got rid of the virus.

Have you tried right clickon the desktop to get the display properties up where you can select from the windows default pics. Also try going to the website of the manufaturer of your pc or operating system ie-mac or windows xp site and downloading new display drivers for your pc

First try running anti-virus (if you have it) then - if i know what you mean - right click when you are on the desktop and click on properties. Then cycle through the options and make the changes.
