Don't you get sick of Africans, West Indians and Latino blacks coming from their improvished countriesand claiming they are better than African Americans? They claim they are't discriminated against by whites, yet they try to take advantage fo the programs to right centuries of discrimination our ancestors faced in this country. They flock to the black colleges and are even following us from the Northeast to the South where our ancestor's lived.
Then when they are discriminated against they turn to our community for support. Why are they coming over here if they were such kings and queens in their own countries?
White people this is not directed to you so keep your comments to yourselves.

Yes I do Josh B because I live in a country that puts lots of emphasis on race. A black person in this country is always defined by race and it something we notice at a very young age. Why are you even giving a comment?

I think some of you blacks have not been around blacks from different countries. I never was exclusionary when I was younger, but after being around the other blacks I have become more exclusionary due to my pride in my American ancestors of African dissent.
We are not the same. They have different cultures and will let you know that very quickly. I even met a black from South Africa when it was under apartheid who had the nerve to insult our people.

This is very sad but true, and it all goes back to ignorance. Ignorance is bliss, if you knew better you'd do better, unfortunately, they obviously don't know any better. Perhaps the longer they are here they will learn and do better.

It is really sad to see so much hate within our own culture. We are all balck, and I am sorry to say but the USA belongs to the Native Americans. Everyone else is an immigrant. And no immigrant is better than another or more deserving to be here.
So why are you fighting for crumbs...... in case you were not aware black is black is black. If you think there are levels of superior blackness.......ask any true racist, and they'll set you straight. Sorry to burst your bubble but WE ARE ALL THE SAME *****! okay. I sure hope that being the All-American you are - you should be very familiar with the ONE-DROP rule. If you're half black, you're black, if you're caribbean you're black, if you're african you're black. Sorry but you fall into the pot too! You're just as black as the rest of us. And no, You don't get to be better than the rest of us. We are all painted with the same brush - don't let anyone permit you to fantisize about believing anything else.
So really NO ONE CARES if your great-grandmother was born in the American south. We were all slaves to a land we fought with blood to be freed from. It is not nor ever was our land to hold on to. If you really want to live a truly ignorant, and self-hating life continue on that dark and depressing road. Because you may have missed the natural history and archaelogy lesson where it came out that ALL Black people came from AFRICA. Moreso ALL humanity originated in Africa!
Think of all the countries that you call impoverished! What gives you the right to pass judgement of what constitutes poverty!? You obviously have no idea what a damaging affect European colonization can have on a country. Before Europeans went to the Caribbean and Latin American and tried to modernize what was already working well, these countries were well working self-sufficient countries rich in natural resources and culture. If the Europeans had not tried to force their culture and standard of living and failed, the Caribbean and Latin America would still be jewels of independence.
You need a lesson in black history and you should stop advocating self-hate in a community that is already tormented with black on black crime, self-esteem issues, and systemic poverty and discrimination.
If you were a white person I might have better expected such uneducated comments from someone who didn't truly understand our struggle on a first-hand basis. But here you are trying to justify the further seperation of the black race.
I am really ashamed to know that you are black and saying this about your own!
Racism and stereotyping are wrong in all aspects, and you are giving a perfect example of both!

Not many of them come around here..(Texas) But when they do they will usually..well in school, they will tell us stuff like yea us Africans are better than you, were hardworkers, were smarter. And to my astonishment they called us *******! and cotton pickers. Sometimes it does seem like Whites accept them better than they accept us, I've been skimming through pages on here and many White people seem to ask Why are Africans better -than African-Americans? And all this non-sense, I think it's really pathetic that they try to think that Whites accept them more than us, To a White person were all just Black.
And then when they get home they'll start listening to rap, and soul music. Blahh. But there is good and bad in Africans, West Indians, And Latinos, you just have to sort out the bad from the good.

No but what I get tired of African Americans not taking advantage of free education. They drop out of school, blame society for mishaps, and do not even vote. Then they wonder why they can not get a job. They can not read, they wear their pants below their waist and can not pass a piss test. I have had a chance to interact with the different cultures and in their eyes they see us taking for granted a free education that they can not get. They are very sweet human beings. They are not smarter they just apply themselves. What I have noticed that African Americans do not want to do certain jobs. We also consume more than what we put into society. What I do know that whatever they learn, they take it and apply it to their community or countries needs. On the other hand, African Americans take what we learn and keep it to ourselves only to disrespect our race in some form or fashion.

Wow...why are you hating on other Black people? Certainly I have met a few Black people from other countries who were jerks. However the majority of the people I met from other countries were very nice and hard working people and eager to befriend Black people here. Please do not generalize, when you meet a jerk, respond accordingly, but do not assume that all Black foreign nationals are like this, because many are not.
