Depends on the port, but generally it will stay good for a couple months.
The original purpose of fortifying wine was to keep it from going bad as quickly as regular wine.
If it's a vintage port, it's fairly delicate and should be consumed in under a month. Aged ports are good for longer, and the inexpensive ports can keep their quality (relatively) for up to a year.

It will last a year probably - but won't taste so good. but won't last long if you keep opening the bottle - it oxides. if you have some brandy and red wine left as well - mix them all together to the top of the bottle and leave for 6 to 12 months - the result is excellent - like vintage port. That only really works well with genuine port from Portugal.

Months I also have a bottle of opened tawney port from Christmas with a few glasses done. I had one over the past weekend and it was as good as the day I opened it. Fortified wines have a much longer shelf life than wine (even after opening)

Try to consume it within a couple of weeks as the flavor will not be as intense as it changes due to oxygen exposure. It won't go bad, but it is best to drink it soon after opening.

It will only be at its best for about a week. If you are serving it from a bottle, rather than a decanter, watch out for the sediment.

Port, a fortified wine from Portugal, will not keep very long once uncorked. It should be treated just like any other wine.

essentially forever...certainly longer than it does in my house...lol...ive decanted a 60 wares and left it on the shelf for a long time
