There is no meaning to life without Jesus Christ. In Him we have abundant life. The purpose of our life is not to be happy or successful, but to prepare for eternity. Every event in our life is to make us more like Christ. See Rick Warren's book a Purpose Driven Life.

To worship God. If you don't believe in God and trust Jesus as your Savior, Life has no meaning. If you don't live for God and believe in the life to come, then there is really no point in getting up every morning is there?--Because after all life is only temporary. So if you don't live for eternal things you are only living for temporary things which in the end are worthless.
