You do NOT need a license to buy a car, only to drive one. There are many cars that are owned by unlicensed owners.

For those who say that the owner must have a license, please explain how corporations own motorvehicles, since a corporation is not a person and therefore cannot have a license.

And you do NOT need a license to get insurance either. If you are unlicensed, you will be listed on the policy as a prohibited operator but any other licensed driver CAN operate the vehicle. Any insurance agent who tells you that you need to have a license to buy insurance is incompetent; find another agent.

In the state of Colorado You can buy a car without a licence,,,,BUT I don't think you can get tags in your name only. You see we must prove we have insurance to get tags on a car. I don't think you can get insurance without a licence. Anyway that's what my insurance people say.
So yes you can buy a car, If you are not under age. In that case you would have the cost of the car in full.
Also No you can not get tags for it because of no insurance so there for you can not drive it + one needs a licence to drive. That is if you don't want to break the law.
