I am totally in love with a 30 y/o man, and I am only 18. I have a boyfriend. My 21 y/o boyfriend knows i've liked this guy forever. But yeah, the older guy has been around for a really long time. I don't know if he likes me or not, but he always talks to me and i'm pretty sure he knows I have the hots for him because he is best friends with one of my mom's friends husband. He called me about 2 months ago on my birthday and we talked about 10 minutes. He's never called me any other time but yea. He always asks my boyfriend how I am doing, and asks if we are still dating when he sees him. Which would seem a little weird if he WAS to like me. I would never say anything to him (the older guy) first about the way I feel about him. I wonder if he just talks to me because it makes him feel good a younger girl likes him or if he really does have a thing?

In line one I noticed you said you were in love with this guy but in line 5 you say you have the hots for him. With that in mind there is a big difference being in love with someone and having the hots for them. Fact of the matter my pretty is that you are not in love with this guy. You are in love with the fact of having a sexual relationship with him. Big difference. To answer your question honestly, relationships based on sex or physical attraction never work. So to answer your question now, the answer would have to be no. You are currently too young to know what real love is because you have yet so many things to experiene in life. However, later on down the road after maturing and developing emotionally, who knows? It may very well be possible. I am speaking from experience. When I was 32 I dated a young lady who was 19. From a physical aspect our relationship was great. However, intellectually, we were on two separated pages. I think we both knew that it wouldn't work from the beginning. It seems I we both got caught up fulfilling our fantasies, mine being with a younger woman, and hers being with an older man. My advice to you is enjoy your youth and don't try to grow up too fast. How can you be "totally in love" with a guy yet still have a boyfriend? Doesn't' say too much about what you consider "love" does it? You're being very silly.
30 is too old for you. He's creepy if he's sniffing around teenage girls. Don't go there. The friend of your mom's friend's husband is NOT appropriate for a teenager. Don't fantasize about a grown man finding you hot when he's just being polite. Stop being so silly and do NOT try to "get him". It does NOT make a 30 year old man feel "good" that a teenager likes him-- unless he's a pervert.

It's a tricky one. I tell you frankly it isn't fair because the fact is that guys of 30 still look pretty much the same as when they were 25 but women of 30 look a lot less attractive than they did at 25. Older men are not generally interested in women their own age. Sorry but it's true.
