1. Jesus says, "But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female." (Mark 10:6)

Here, Jesus gives his support of the creation account in Genesis 1:1, 27. Note he says "from the beginning of creation", not after hundreds of millions of years of asexual reproduction that then somehow lead to sexual reproduction, and then a few more billion years before man 'evolved'. It appears Jesus was referring to Genesis 1:1, 27 with the concepts of "from the beginning of creation" (verse 1) and "male and female" (verse 27). See also Matt. 19:4.

While the issue he was addressing was divorce in those passages, his Words also support both the Genesis one creation account, as well as confirming one of the greatest weaknesses of any type of naturalistic evolutionary belief...the impossibility of the naturalistic evolving of sexual reproduction.

2. Could the God you know of through the Words of Jesus have created all things in six days or less? Did God need to work through existing physical processes in order to increase order, or could he have created complex matter instantaneously? If the reader disfavors His creating matter from nothing, then the reader should also discount Jesus' feeding of the thousands with a few fish and loaves of bread. While this argument certainly does not prove that God in fact did create all the time-space-matter universe in six days, it does support his being able to do so if he choose.

3. If you hand Genesis chapter one to a child to read, how long will they say it took God to create the heavens and the earth and all that is in the earth?

Doesn't Jesus say, "...Truly I say to you, Unless you are converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 18:3) Is this attitude really restricted to 'salvation' or 'spiritual' matters only? Don't confuse current verifiable physical matters with speculation about past events.

4. Those "scientists" who reject Jesus and who deny the existence of God, dogmatically and almost unanimously defend naturalistic evolution.

Jesus says, "And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)

5. Many "scientists" who acknowledge God exists have more verifiable facts (true, present empirical science) against evolution than evolutionists have in support of evolution. In like manner, many "scientists" who acknowledge God exists have more verifiable facts for a younger earth than evolutionists have facts to support an old earth.

6. Anyone who believes naturalistic biological evolution is poorly read regarding the present scientific arguments and evidence of the creationist scientists and intelligent design thinkers. It is simply a fact that naturalistic evolution - defined as no intervention from an intelligent Designer - could not have taken place. Those who tend to believe in naturalistic evolution are placing too much weight on contemporary philosophers and too little weight on Jesus Words and much physical evidence that supports a more recent creation.

7. Other views of evolution (non-naturalistic) are reasonable and could be held by followers of Jesus...views such as God using an evolution-type process (direct intervention) to create man - sometimes called progressive creation; gap theories about the Genesis chapter 1 account to account for an old earth, should a person believe the evidence for an old earth, etc.

Conclusion: Let's base our faith on Jesus' Words first. If a person believes that Jesus doesn't conclusively address the matter, then we should be flexible. The followers of Jesus should not divide or fight over this issue, for it is not of primary importance. We can follow Jesus and obey him together without unity on this issue, except to acknowledge that the Most High God is the Creator and that he was active in creation.

that's pretty good proof that jesus was just a regular person and not the son of god.

we already know that most of the bible is false. evolution is definitely real. YOU are the poorly read one if you can't see that. so,,, for jesus to endorse these passages is just further proof that christianity is wrong.

i shouldn't even have to say all this though. the bible also calls the earth flat, refers to the moon as a "second" source of light (after the sun), and describes pi as being equal to 3. anyone who would endorse this joke of a book is clearly quite human.

1) According to evolutionists, Humans evolved from apes? Humans are apes by definition. Linnaeus classified us as such and he was a creationist. 2) There are many proven facts in science, but evolution is just a theory. False due to a misunderstanding of the word theory. A fact, in science, is a discrete point of information. Theories connect facts and explain them. There is no higher classification than theory. 3) A transitional form is a fossil of an animal that is part one species and part another. False. All organisms are transitional. 4) The age of the earth is determined by scientists solely through the radioactive dating of fossils ? The age of the Earth was determined by dating a meteor on the assumption that the Solar System was all the same age. All other calculations fit the age found. 5) The scientific method begins with a prediction and then looks for evidence to support that prediction? It begins with observation. Then a hypothesis is formed from that observation. After the hypothesis is formed, scientists look for evidence to support or falsify the hypothesis. 6) The theory of evolution includes the Big Bang? False. 7) To believe in evolution is to believe that life and matter came from nothing? False.

Evolution is just a mechanical process. You can gleam spiritual clues from it, but ultimately you are being fearful and denying a simple algorithm.

This isn't a question. You're not looking for an answer. Believe whatever you want. Believe in the tooth fairy if you want, too.

I'm not saying that two or three of the things you said aren't valid, but your are guilty of doing the same thing that all "Jesus people" do by inflicting a lecture and bible talk on people who didn't ask.

That just shows that the whole story is bogus. And if you want to get technical...he is speaking of them from the time that they are sentient...so even though it didn't happen this way, maybe he could have been speaking from that moment in time when they gained knowledge and insight. But I don't believe it.

One would first have to accept the premise that Jesus existed at all, then one would have to beleive that those who recounted his words (since he obviously didn't leave any writings behind) did so correctly and not from thier own particular viewpoints expressing their own particular opinions and projecting them on to jesus.

I reject that premise based on the damning lack of any and all contemporary historical data to suggest jesus ever walked the earth.

Get over yourself, dude. Evolution happens, that's a fact. I'd like to know what led you to think that a Bronze Age carpenter was somehow better informed on this subject than all the best minds of the 19th and 20th centuries.

you would have to assume that those were the EXACT words that jesus said...humans wrote the bible and human memory is unreliable.

Jesus is highly overrated. Who died and made him God? Oh, that's right. The Bible says Jesus died and God made Jesus ... God. That's proof because the Bible was inspired by God and we know that because the Bible says so. Dizzy yet?
