i'm not here to pick fights, that is the last thing on my mind, but why do so many people judge others on their religious beliefs?

I don't care what your religion is honestly, frankly i could i careless, if you want to worship satan go right ahead, if you want to worship Buddha go ahead, if you want to worship god, if you want to worship goddess&god go ahead. As long as you are mostly a good person why should it matter?

Some of you say your god is the only one to judge but, you stand by and judge others on their religion, and you say they are going to hell if they don't believe what you believe..why?

If you are going to be horribly hateful, please don't reply thank you.

It is not an issue of judging others on their religious beliefs, but rather of sharing what we have.

In the Religion & Spirituality category, people often want everyone to be "religious" at the lowest common denominator. They ask questions like, "Don't all roads lead to God?" or "Don't you all worship the same God? (This is essentially what you are asking here...)

Christians have a problem with that. Any reasonable person will not believe it if I say "All roads lead to Baltimore." because all roads do not lead to Baltimore. But people will want us to dismiss such logic and believe the same thing in a religious sense, so others won't be offended.

Similarly, when people ask, "Don't you worship the same God?" they are implicitly demanding that I not just deal with someone's claim like that, but rather embrace it as valid instead.

If all roads did lead to God, and if we all worship the same God, then Jesus Christ lied when He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6; and He also suffered and died on a cross for nothing.

Since Christians do not believe that He either lied, or died for nothing, then we are duty bound to love people by telling the truth, and not follow the path of least resistance by saying, "Oh, yeah! Your way is just as valid!"

This has eternal consequences. We don't want anyone's blood on our hands. We have been called by God to share the Truth. When we have done that, and are rejected, we are free from guilt. But, if we embrace a false viewpoint, and in the name of "tolerance" allow them to go uninformed, that person's blood will be on our hands when that person is judged and sent to hell.

We cannot in good conscience let someone go helter-skelter in a false belief without first confronting them with the truth. If they then reject it, that's okay with us.

I do not know the reason why people are judged because of what they beileve. It is merely Satan's attemp to turn all people away from God. It DOES matter if you are a good person though. NO ONE is a "good person" In Isaiah (i think i spelled that right...) it says that your good works are like a filthy rag. This means that even the BEST of deeds are NOTHING compared to how perfect God is. Plus, What measures goodness? It must be God! For if it wasn't there would be a standard of "goodness" above God and there is absolutely NOTHING above God. And finaly, If people do not believe that Jesus died on the cross to save them and do not believe in God, the true God, they WILL go to Hell. I'm sorry for being blunt but it is the truth...

You have made a great point! My belief is that there will be members of all denominations in heaven. I think that as long as you truly believe with your heart that the religion you practice is proper and good you will make it......except for those that worship Satan.

Those that stand by and judge others are going to have to answer why they done that. I do not think they will make it to heaven because they are "preaching" and "sinning" at the same time and deep down they know it.

Well I think we all judge a little. It's sort of a self preservation thing. I was burned by fire as a kid because I tried to touch it with my bare hands, I have now judged that fire can be harmful and I should respect it by not putting my bare hands in it again. Most religions promote hate and bigotry against any who do not believe what they believe. I am always weary of people who would buy in to this kind of belief system, and those that pick and choose what to follow in side their own religions are just as bad because they have not fully given themselves to their beliefs yet say that they have, these are called hypocrites. Any of these type of people should be approached and interacted with caution.

I wont be " horribly hateful" but when you ask for a response to a Post like that expect lively responses.

We, most of us anyway, aren't judging the people of other religions, we just don't want to see them lost. To you it don't matter if I'm a Christian or a Buddhist, but it would to God.

If you saw me ingesting poison, you would try to stop me. Maybe I don't believe it is poison, but you know better, what do you do ? You do everything you can to get me to listen to reason. Yes ?

That's what we're doing !

God Bless you !

People today are hateful because they listen to the lies
of the devil. That they are going to be punished, when they know
they haven't really done anything.
They need to listen to the TRUE message. That our Creator doesn't "pass the buck". He knows what it's like living in this world, and has provided a way out. But we have to accept it.
God doesn't make anybody go to hell. But He doesn't make them
go to heaven either. Think about it people.

That's the problem with people who base their lives on "Religion." I am a christian and I believe what I want to believe.....In God, and that Jesus Christ is his son. I don't judge others for their religious beliefs, nor do I walk into church every Sunday to act like I am someone I am not. I go to church to learn about God, and the love he has for me, and what I can do to become better in the eyes of God. Period.

WELL TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH...PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DO THINGS LIKE THAT. NOT EVERYONE WILL WORSHIP THE SAME WAY SOMEONE ELSE DOES. BUT LIKE IT IS QUOTED IN THE BIBLE, GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD. WE ARE IN NO PLACE TO JUDGE OTHERS. ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST LIKE THAT. REMEMBER IN THE BIBLE WHEN SOME PEOPLE WORSHIPPED FALSE GODS? IT'S HAPPENING NOWADAYS ALSO. EVERYTHING THAT IS QUOTED IN THE BIBLE WILL COME TO PASS.

Everthing you stated is true. That's called religious intolerance. Every religion wants to claim that their religion is the true religion and if you don't believe in what they believe, you'll go to hell. And some are overzealous, that their belief is so clouded with passions, bordering on fanaticisms.
