My orange striped kitten looks like she is turning purple in her legs and lower body. Her momma is keeping her warm and I also have a heating pad for her. Her brothers don't look purple, but one is black, and the other is black and white. She feels warm when I pick her up, but I am not sure what else to do for her. She is 10 days old. Any answers would be great! Thanks!

there isn't anything at all visable that could be cutting of the circulation? I have tried to save a lot of babies...it's really half and half...And if that one is the runt then, that might be y. Keep doing what you are doing or go to a vet...but for a 10 days old kitty your doing all YOU can do...call a vet for a second opinion.
Is she active?

take the heating pad away... momma's body warmth is all she needs... Most likely nothing wrong with the kitten... She is 10 days old, 2 1/2 weeks personally I would say she is just fine...

Maybe the heating pad is too warm.. In the first place, you should not be using a heating pad.. Take it away and then see how the color changes.

I think you should call the vet's office and explain this to them. This is one of those situations where it could be nothing, but if it's something, the kitten needs help immediately.

If she hasn't seen a vet - get her to one now!

This could be something she has gotten into, eaten or laid in that has caused poisoning. A doctor's opinion is always the best!
