what's a good way to freshen up your look so you dont look so bad?

get rubbing alcohol on your fingertips and lightly massage it into your scalp.. it will soak up oil..
if this isn't enough, tie it back in a ponytail or something...
or.. wet your hair and do a french braid or some other hairstyle that looks decent when wet

well you could always wet your hair in the sink and scrunch your hair like leave it with the wet look it stays good and looks fresh

I have heard that sprinkling baby powder and then brushing it out works very well. My daughter has done it in a pinch.

ummm....take the time...and take a bath.
If your hair is nasty, it's a small step to say your other parts probably are too.
