He complains when he has to take care of the kids. So I complain when I have to work. I tried to get him to let me quit and he work 50hrs a week. I would take care of the kids full time and he wouldn't get so stressed out at home. He doesn't want to do that. He gets irritated with the kids easily and they tell me that he has screamed at them. I'm worried and don't know what to do. I'm stressed out to but not because of the kids. Because of my job and worrying about the kids while I am working. What should I do?

A woman once fretted over the usefulness of her life. She feared she was wasting her potential being a devoted wife and mother. She wondered if the time and energy she invested in her husband and children would make a difference.

At times she got discouraged because so much of what she did seemed to go unnoticed and unappreciated. "Is it worth it?" she often wondered. "Is there something better that I could be doing with my time?"

It was during one of these moments of questioning that she heard the still small voice of her heavenly Father speak to her heart. You are a wife and mother because that is what I have called you to be. Much of what you do is hidden from the public eye. But I notice. Most of what you give is done without remuneration. But I am your reward.

Your husband cannot be the man I have called him to be without your support. Your influence upon him is greater than you think and more powerful than you will ever know. I bless him through your service and honor him through your love. Your children are precious to Me. Even more precious than they are to you. I have entrusted them to your care to raise for Me. What you invest in them is an offering to Me.

You may never be in the public spotlight. But your obedience shines as a bright light before Me. Continue on. Remember you are my servant. Do all to please me.

Family comes first. You need to have a long look at your budget rigth away and figure out how to live on a little less money so you can quit your 12 hrs/week job. He doesn't have a choice about that. The current situation is not working for any of you - you said he doesnt even enjoy looking after the kids when you are working, so the situation needs to change. He could work a couple of hours overtime if he can, and you can make a few extra dollars from home, or just stretch your budget a bit further to cover the income loss. Do whatever it takes to lower those stress levels and to make sure the kids have the best care they can get. Good luck!

If your part time job is that important to the family finances, and it's stressing you out, then maybe you should look at your budget, and figure out what you can cut so that you can manage to live on just your husbands income. Maybe you could also figure out something that you could do from home, which would eliminate the whole you having to "go" to work issue. But your husband has to realize that you guys are a team here, and from your side of the fence, he doesn't sound like a team player. If you're working to help support the family, then he needs to support you in taking care of HIS CHILDREN (it's not babysitting) while you do that. I would seriously print this question out, show it to him, and hopefully open up a dialog with him about this. He needs to quit complaining when he needs to care for the kids, and find the good things about it, and use the time to spend with his children getting to know them. Make sure also the kids are involved in plenty of activities, if they're acting up, it may simply be because they're bored. Also, make sure your husband understands how detrimental screaming at the kids is for them, and your whole family. Good luck!

I wouldn't tolerate someone treating my kids badly whether he be their father or not. I'd put my kids in a public school, get a full time job and tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine, my kids come first and spouses can be replaced.

I would stay with my kids, I would not leave them home with someone who is always yelling at them. Screw your job, your kids come first. !2 hrs. a week should not be much of a paycheck anyway so he shouldn't mind that much. Is there another reason he wants you gone from the house?

12 hours a week is not that much is it????? I would tell him he needs to change his attitude with the children, they are HIS also and that he is ruining his chance to build a relationship with them................if you quit working you are going to be more stressed as you will feel you never get away from them then....especially if he only yells when he has them. Do you have family or a friend to trade child care with? good luck

Just my opinion.
I don't think he sees your efforts at home schooling as work.
I think he is feeling that he is bearing a greater burden than you.
Obviously this is not true.
You really need to sit down with him and discuss his feelings about the situation and give him yours.
Soon.
Anger can escalate into more.
Again, just my opinion.
I hope you get this worked out.
Best of luck to you both.

Those are his kids too and he needs to help out more with them. kids need their father too and it seems that he is trying to work even harder to stay away from his family. If he loved you he would want to help take some of the burden off your shoulders. IT seems like you are doing everything in your might to please help and he is being ungrateful.

I think u should quit your job and try to convince your husband as their is something bigger than money and that is family. Once we have children, our life should be only for them fist and then for us.
