Communication is number one in the education of a teacher. The communication keeps a student accountable so you can do your best. It is not that you did anything bad but maybe that you did something good. Your parents also could have asked for the contact.

I've never heard of a teacher doing that unless u did something really bad. Most teachers comunicate with parents through notes and newsletters.

How would you know if teachers are always calling my house? Do I run some kind of teacher support hotline for those who find themselves in a self-inflicted quandry that they have to call my house for advice on how to relieve themselves of the situation that they have so thoughtlessly gotten themselves into?.....I think not!
