No, but by the sound of it you are the lazy ignorant one. Just because a person doesn't believe doesn't make them any less of a person than you. And do you feel superior by sitting on the fence pointing your fingers? Because by the sound of it, you seem a little arrogant.

I became an 'atheist' (really a pantheist-humanist) from reading the Bible and not being able to make any sense out of the nonsense.
The logic of the Bible looks like the following two sentences:
The following sentence is true.
The previous sentence is false.
Round and round and round the mind goes, never being satisfied with an answer, much less real truth.
So, I went off to college and received some real answers....and a degree.
The ignorant and lazy ones are those who think the Bible has all the answers and refuse to look any further. If the Bible had all the answers time would've stopped after the last page, but it hasn't. Time continues forward and the Bible becomes more and more anitquated, farcical and irrelevant with every passing year.

I'm not saying whether or not I am an atheist because that isn't the point....
You know, I live my life day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year without ever thinking about what other people believe. Whatever they believe is their business, and I have other things to think about than what other people believe. If there is a God - who knows - maybe He'd think more favorably of the person who lives his life in the best way he can and doesn't attack other people or worry about what other people believe than He may think of the person who says he believes in God but then spends precious, God-granted, time thinking about what other people believe and feeling superior to them on top of it.
If, on the other hand, there isn't any God then all the people who think there is will be proven wrong some day when they die and the lights don't come on ever again. So what. They got to live their lives as they wanted and won't be around to see that they were wrong.
Either way, who cares!!
Atheists or non-Atheists - Why don't these small-minded people who spend their brain-time worrying about what other people believe just busy their little minds with their own little business, or at least do some good in this world rather than attack other human beings.
It is such a drag!!

While I'm not an atheist (I prefer to think of myself as a "hopeful agnostic"), I believe the opposite of your statements to be true. I think the atheists/agnostics are generally intelligent, well-educated people, and as such, question what so many people blindly believe. I also disagree that we feel "superior" to those who follow an organized religion. In fact, I have found quite to the contrary, the religious zealots have an air of superiority about them (not to mention condescending and judgmental). As for your weekly worship, if you want to go to church every week to listen to some guy behind a pulpit tell you how to think, and give your money to support that guy, well, then....more power to ya. I think your money (tithing) would be much better spent donated to charitable causes.

No on an average they tend to be highly educated and very rational people. I know what your trying to do and it won't work, don't try to make us feel bad because you have to sit in weekly worship and be bored, you made the decision to sit and listen to that absurd crap. I have read the Bible many times and it is a work of fiction with a few little facts thrown in to make you think it's for real. If you have read the Bible and can not find errors in it, then you are either ignoring them or simply a person with a low IQ.

Where ever did you get the idea that Atheist don't read? Because their views are different than yours? Give me a break.
And the fact that they don't worship weekly has nothing to do with laziness. Nor do they feel superior. They simply have a different take on things, and don't care to have religious views crammed down their throats.
It's OK to have different points of view. Really, it is.

No, actually the so called "religious people" are nothing more than a bunch of sheep thinking they've found the way to heaven. None of the "religious people" are actually religious. The only book they read is the bible, and their eyes are practically closed to reality. I feel sorry for them.
No, dude. YOU are the loser, because if you were a little smarter you wouldn't have asked such a stupid question. And you didn't ask this out of curiosity, you asked this out of boredom. Did you know that humans are the only creatures on earth that get bored?

well it is exactly has been said that of those who believe as well! I think that you should better your opinon of people before you attack them with such blanket concepts. Truly that is why alot of them ignore any attempts at listening to a Christian. Your question is one sided to your view point. Truthfully there are alot of intelligent hard working without feeling superior people who define themselves as atheists. You just gave them fuel to remain that way.
As far as believing in a "God" that has nothing do with proving or disproving ones intelligence. It has to do with experience. Those who have a relationship with God, know God and they are known by Him. So I.Q.'s are not figured into the equation. The problem with Atheists, is that they have not seen enough evidence in Christians (I am speaking to you, and all I have to go on is your question so dont feel that I am judging you, I am just commenting on this small speck of personal classification) to know that there is a God to believe in. Which really hurts your witness.
Oh just to let you know - I am a Christian. Have been one since 1984, and I am presently taking courses to become a minister of the everlasting gospel. So I have liberty to speak. Change your attitude! You are the one who is showing a "superior wisdom, and know it all spirituality" that offends and destroys your witness.
If I were you I would be going to God and asking for forgiveness, for you were sent to seek and to save those whom you just called "ignorant, lazy, dont read, superiror, fence sitting and pointing". And I don't think they are listening to well at this point.
I know I wouldn't listen to you now; when I considered myself one. That is a past term not a present one!

Get off your high horse!
I'm the son of a minister, I was a religion major, and spent the first 25 years of my life attending church 3-4 times weekly. If anyone is sounding presumptuous and superior it is thou.
The members of the National Academy of Sciences were surveyed, and over 80% reported they did not believe in a personal god. Sounds a bit like you're off your rocker.

You are a hypocrite - you just insulted atheists claiming that they "feel superior by sitting on the fence" and then called everyone a loser. You are the one sitting on the fence feeling superior when you should be.
