That might be a problem, but I don't know for sure.
You can't get a passport (or an addendum to your current passport) with your married name until you are actually married. And even then it takes some time for processing.
The easiest thing might be to try and change the name under the booking. Always easier to work with airlines/travel industry than the government...

You can't get a passport in a name you don't have yet. Check with the airline or cruise line or whatever, to see if they'll accept your old passport and your marriage certificate.
While you can, of course, change your name any time to anything you want in the US, in order to get a passport in that name you have to show continual and exclusive use for several years. Not a solution for you.
And by the way, the answer below is wrong: there is no such thing as a "post-dated passport."

Your fiance's parents R Nuts! It's not your name - your future name perhaps but not your name yet. Good luck with the airlines, with the immigration people etc. Sorry for being so hard on you but it is really amazing how people can be so dim witted. You poor lady.
P.S. But you could run down to city hall and tie the knot before your other ceremonies. That will automatically give you the name change.

If you have your marriage certificate(license) that should prove your maiden name and married name. If you aren't leaving to your honeymoon the same or next day, it takes a few minutes to go to the DMV and get a new license with your married name. Just bring your marriage certificate(license)

You can change your name at any time, to anything you want. So the solution to your problem might be to legally change your name to whatever your married name will be and then you will have the documentation to support your passport application.
Best wishes on your wedding.

You can get a post dated passport in your married name if you comple a form which is countersigned by the preist of registrar who is to marry you. Churches and registry offices normally keep a supply of these forms.

Doubt it until it's official. Check the passport people, though.
