What are some of the reasons for the down fall of ancient Greece?

Depends on who you want to believe. Some say that it was proof that a true democracy would not work. Others say homosexuality. I think because Rome became a power they could not overcome. Remember though, the ability to speak proper, fluent Greek was the way the known world decided if you were educated or not and therefore worth listening too.
