Christine has the right answer for you. It is not good for your cat. For years commercial food manufacturers (all that food is cooked in the manufacturing process) did not add taurine to their cat formulations. Many cats were blinded and/or had serious heart problems from lack of taurine for almost fifteen years! Now the stupes know that taurine is destroyed in the cooking process and that cats cannot manufacture it their bodies as humans and dogs do. So all the commercial cat food now has taurine added.
Purina is such a lousy food for puppy or cats that I wouldn't even feed it to the raccoons (if I were in to feeding wild life, which I am not).
Look into higher quality foods for your cats. Some that aren't 2/3 corn like Purina. The first three ingredients on the bag should be (1) quality meat protein source (chicken, chicken meal, no by-products) (2) more meat protein (chicken meal again perhaps), (3) filler - should be rice, oats, pea, tapioca, not corn)

No, dog/puppie chow is specifically made for dogs and puppies. the diet of cat/kitten is very different. You can give the chow to a freind, family, local pet shop or humane society.
Get Iams cat food. It makes their coat nice and smooth/shiny! I found that iams is definately worth the price.

No way. The formulations in cat and dog food are very different. Cat food contains taurine that is essential for the health of a cat.
Donate the bag of puppy food to a local shelter instead.

Sure my grandma had a little Chihuahua and a few cats they would all the time be eating each others food. Like the cat's wanted to let the dog know they weren't afraid, and the dog wanted the cat's to know she wasn't gonna take no crap from them either. They all lived long lifes.

Cat food contains a lot more vitamins and minerals, especially taurine, than is found in dog food. It wouldn't hurt if they accidentally get into the dog's food but they definitely should be fed food made expressly for cats.

No. It will turn them into puppies. When cats become dogs, then up is down & day is night. It will be anarchy! Don't upset the balance of nature! Ha ha
Ok but seriously no, it can't be healthy for them! Different species need different nutrients!

Unfortunetly no! Cats require an amino acid (Taurine) that is not in dog food to keep them from going blind, so they really must be fed cat food. Give your dog food to a friend that can use it or to a shelter that can always use extra food!
Good luck!

No. Cats require alot more nutrition that dogs do. The dog food would not provide the proper vitamins.

No, but you can go up to any petsmart, if it's not open, and trade it in for cat food. There is a reason there is a dog food and a cat food.
they'll eat it bc cats are naturally scavenders but there diet need to be cat food...
SERIOSLY ITS APART OF PETSMART'S SAYING ON THE CHECKOUT AT ALL STORES....THEY WILL TAKE ANYTHING ANIMAL REALATED AND GIVE YOU STORE CREDIT...BUT IT CAN'T BE OPENED.

I'm sure it's not great for their digestive systems, but my cats get into my pups food all the time...impossible to keep them away from it. Technically they will eat it, but it's not formulated for cat digestive enzymes and may upset them.
