Alot of protein, eggs, meats, etc. Limit your fruits. Eat some veggies, green mostly. And stay away from the whites: sugar, breads, flour, rice, etc.

Oh don't do a low carb diet, I had to try and loose weight to get into the Military, and I went on one for a few months. What I would usually eat (if you do decide to try this) is in the morning a few eggs, or normally I would make an omelet. you can have up to I think it is 6 oz. of cheese a day. chicken hamburger steak, all that is OK and u can use seasonings as long as they don't contain carbs. Most dry seasonings are perfectly fine. You can eat or drink anything as long as it has zero carbs, just read labels. Just so you know it does work, and I did loose 14 pounds, however I did pass out on about three occasions because carbs is how your body gets its energy. It's not very good for you at all, but if you do want to risk putting that strain on your health it is your decision. You don't have to follow any specific guidelines for this diet to work which is awesome, but just remember read labels... and try not to fall on anything to hard such as concrete and rocks when you do faint, (i have some nasty scars)

When I went on a low carb diet I was basically eating meat and veggies. You can't eat breads or pastas. Green beans and broccoli are low in carbs. Also South Beach has meals you can buy at the grocery store. They are like lunchables. They have turkey wraps/southwest chicken wraps and jello. There are a lot of low carb items out there.

Low carb diet is eating things that contain few if any carbs.. that would mean no eating bread, pasta ..pizza, nothing with sugar in it .. very few fruits .. This diet is not considered to be healthy or very successful. Most people find that they just can't do it .. after 4 or 5 months of trying .. all you can eat is things high in protein only .. like steak, fish, chicken, eggs .. Some doctors also believe it can do damage to your liver and/or other major organs. It is not a good diet. Good Luck ! :)

A low carb diet is where you stay away from all foods that are high in sugars and starches, such as bread, pasta, candy, pops, rice. I would talk to a doctor about a diet plan for you.

Low carb diets stay away from fruits and veggies and breads and focus on proteins as in meats and cheeses. The Atkins dies is one of these low carb diets.

A low carb diet, like Atkins, is one that is, well, low in carbs. Basically you give up breads and cereal and milk and such, and eat mainly protein (meat, chicken, fish, beans, nuts) and veggies.
Check this out http://atkins.com/ They also have different premade foods that are in compliance with a low carb diet.

You are supposed to not eat fatty white breads, white pastas, and white rice. Also avoid things with lots of refined white sugar like cookies and cakes. You can replace them with things with healthier whole grains, like whole grain pitas, whole grain tortillas, and whole grain bread. But the main point of the diet is to focus more on eating lots and lots of whole fruits and veggies, and a lot of people don't realize this and they eat mostly just dairy and meat. Be sure not to make that mistake if you do this diet. But be sure to choose low fat dairy, and lean meats like chicken and turkey.

Decaf coffee is an excellent low-calorie fluid when you're having cravings (and a terrific source of antioxidants).
