Setting up designated center areas with shelves or other "barriers" can really help with the behavior problems in the classroom. We used to have an open classroom, and the kids were just running wild. We had all kinds of behavior problems, and then we got some low shelf dividers to separate areas of the classroom into interest sections. It has helped tremendously with the behaviors. The children are able to settle down into an area and not be disturbed by the activities of other children passing by.

What kinds of behavior problems are you having? What age group are you working with? Does your current room arrangement allow for free movement, but limit straight shots that tempt children to run? Are there interesting materials attractively displayed on the children's level that they know how to use and are allowed to choose? Are there a variety of activities from which to choose, i.e. construction area (blocks and other building materials), art area, science/discovery area, dramatic play/housekeeping area, reading/writing/listening area? Are there rules that were collaboratively established by the whole group that are fair and enforced? If so, are those rules reviewed often enough that everyone knows what they are and knows his/her responsibility in keeping the classroom a pleasant and safe place to learn?
Lots to consider!

environmental design plays a hugh role in behaviors there are many early childhood education books that you can check one is :Guiding Young Behavior" having large open areas encourages running, use barriors to stem this, locate like activitie areas beside ie literacy next to printing, music next to block building, good luck

can you look and pinpoint behaviour problems that are caused by the current room arrangement?
example: locating an activity that requires concentration/skill/quiet
next to an activity that uses large movements or is noisy leads to problems
