If you are making a lot of money, Manhattan is even better than San Francisco to live in. Better art, better theater, much better symphony, even more airports. Better live jazz. More and better universities.

I lived a few miles from San Francisco for years and once a month made a trip to the city to shop for food items in Chinatown and eat my way to North Beach...loved Golden Gate park as the best place to be on any Sunday afternoon and you can't beat the views all around... but was always anxious to leave the city by 4PM. NYC post 9.11 is an incredible place and now that I am back on the east coast can take the train into Penn Station any day. There just seems to be more to NY than SF. I loved both but if I had to work in one it would be NYC. It really is the center of the universe.

I've visited NYC and dreamed of going to SF. I get the feeling that San Francisco would be laid back but with a lot of sights...so my preference would be there.

You better make a good salary to live in either of those cities. Both are outrageous financially.

Is this a Illegal Immigration question? Are you asking the Illegals to let you know or something?
