No real way to know. I have no idea what you look like, where you live (could be a cultural thing),what your personality is like, or if you're even interested in guys. Under normal circumstances, I'd have to say, yes, 22 is starting to push plenty old enough to start looking for a first date. I didn't start dating until I was 19, but then I was very shy until then.

You can start dating anytime you want. There is nothing wrong if you think there is because you have not dated. What comes to my mind when I hear that someone that has not dated before... I would just think that they didn't want to be in a relationship due to not having those hurt feelings when things don't work out, maybe you just wanted to concentrate on school and sports or maybe you have a lot of goals that you want to accomplish or maybe it is something else. So, these are good reasons why a lot people don't date and I truly understand those reasons. I don't know what your reason is, but I am sure it is a good one.

At 22 , You should have yearned. You should have dreamed, you should have imagined.
You should get in the game before your responders shut down.
You already missed the clumsy love and first stirrings.

as long as it take for you to find someone who's right for you. there is no age dead line. most people just date for the wrong reason they date the wrong person. if you are smart you are more selective and it might take longer to find someone but there is no reason to practice on someone who is not right for you.
