I'm a pragmatic man, I respect the muslim people I know in my community, and they seem to be pretty pragmatic too. I've always been curious though about the attitudes that Muslims living in the US have concerning the practice of Paganism and Wicca in this country and how it makes them feel.

It appears by the other answerers that Islam teaches the same doctrine as Chritianity does concerning paganism, believe as we do or damnation awaits (you).....both sound very intolerant to me.

Islam teaches that worshiping anything other than God (Allah) is a sin. This is true of all monotheistic (one God) religions, including Christianity and Judaism. In fact Muslims are so against idolatry (worshiping a statue that represents a God) that they do not allow any paintings or drawings of God. That is why their mosques are decorated with beautiful designs and no pictures. So, Muslims would feel very doubtful about any Pagan or Wicca practices.

We Muslims respect every human being, be it muslim or non-muslim. Our duty is to convey the message but your duty is to decide (which religion to choose). After you have made your mind, it is up to you what do you believe in or don't believe. The following surah from the Quran describes best our stand against non-muslims.

In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
Say (O Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam), O disbelievers
I do not worship what you worship
Nor do you worship whom I worship
I shall never worship what you worship
Neither will you worship whom I worship.
You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion.
(Quran Surah Kafiroon - Disbelievers)

Paganism is just opposite of the golden truth of monotheism. To be honest, Muslims don't have to do anything with paganism.

If you want my personal viewpoint, then I believe paganism is based on the most fatal sin, polytheism.

Well im a muslim and id be glad do answer u.Umm we as muslims feel it is wrong not to worship God because he is our creator. In the end, nature is made by God,U might say that nature might have existed due to natural reactions and I dunno what.Well think of who made tese reactions and who led to the creation of humanity and nature and universe.Once again I must tell u that we want others to worship God and only God, but we respect others because they are humans.God told us to treat others as we treat our children .Perhaps it is non of our business to change ur religion, but we can surely explain to u the true meaning of islam and if u like it and convinced, then u might become a muslim it is up to u.We must explain the consequences of not believing in God and it is up to u to make uo ur mind
