I broke my ankle. I heard the noise, but did not realize it was broke till the next morning when my whole foot was black and blue.
I also had an incident where my face got broken. In particular....my eye socket was cracked to look like a spider web, and my cheek bone was crushed and pushed into my head. I didn't hear anything, but that is probably because I was too busy getting hit in the face. I also didn't realize anything was broke till I went for an MRI. It hurt like hell though, so something had to be seriously wrong. It required surgery to repair the cheek bone.

Sometimes it makes a noise that you can hear, whether it's your broken bone or someone else's. I imagine it depends on the location of the bone, the type of break, and the person's pain tolerance.

For example, I broke bones in my fingers (car door gor slammed on them) and didn't hear or feel a thing. It was several hours later before I noticed how badly swollen they were and had them looked at.

Sometimes you can hear it snap and other times not. One doesn't always know they have a broken bone if it's a small or hairline fracture, but it will still hurt. But often your broken part will become extremely swollen and really hurt you will know for sure.

I broke my arm and yes I did hear it crackle like a piece of firewood. It hurt immediately, I knew it was broken because my arm had a definite bend in it, and it hurt again when the doctor pulled on it to get it straight again. I cried a lot and don't want to ever have to look at the ceiling of another emergency room.

When I broke my arm, I heard it snap, yeah, quite clearly actually. It really didn't start hurting until about 5 mins after for me, as the body goes into shock. But you know it's broken, my arm went limp, it's a tad hard to explain, felt creepy since it didn't really "cooperate," my arm would move the opposite direction I tried to move it, it was odd haha.

i broke my arm once and it didn't really hurt until about 30 mins later . i flew off my bike then tried to pick it up but my arm wouldn't let me so i just thought it was broken and it was . I heard other times though that the bone will stick up and you can see a bump in the skin and that kind of vbreak really hurts .

Some do and some don't. I remember a friendbreakinghis leg while we wee bike riding together who had no idea he'd broken his leg. He cried initially for a few seconds then justhopped around on the other leg. when his mom saw his leg swell, she took him in and they discovered he had a broken bone

well it doesn't snap but if you don't know if its broken bone or you pulled a muscle go to the hospital and get a x-ray and the doctors will tell you what it is!
